Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 8: Put mii in, coach

I'm actually positive for tomorrow.

I found both Microsoft and Sony's conferences to be pretty great. Sure, I don't really wanna buy either system right now, but both of the conferences were entertaining and a lot of the games seemed cool even though they aren't genres I prefer.

Don't really get all the doom and gloom I've seen about them this year, everything was pretty solid.
 
Sony conference is boring me so badly. I want to get a drink but I know they'll show the diamond in the rough while I'm blending myself a smoothie.

Smash tomorrow will be a most welcome palate cleanser.
 
All I've seen are a bunch of CGI trailers and trailers for games that I really could care less about. I know Nintendo will certainly live up to my expectations though.

Yeah, I take it back, Sony really didn't think ahead to place all the Youtube/F2P stuff at the end.

They're probably going to close with Uncharted 4, which will be nice, but all of the cross-gen and "debut first on PlayStation" and gritty street shootouts and zombies and sci-fi and artsy-fartsy spiritual journeys is just... Meh.
 
It was pretty good minus some boring lulls (POWEERRSSSS). I guess I'll be getting both consoles down the road.

I wonder how it'll hold up during Smash?
 
I was hoping the PSASB2 rumor was true just so we could have a situation where both it and Smash are coming out around the same time, would've been interesting.
 
It's tomorrow. OM my god, we are just a little over 12 hours away before greatness.

So you think Smash will be cancelled, existing footage deleted and we'll only get the "it's still in development" once a year even though that's CLEARLY a lie?

Man I can't imagine the meltdowns, but I wouldn't remember them anyways.

Since Nintendo aren't some pussies like Sony none of us would live to tell the story. Nintendo Ninjas would kill everyone who knows about SSB4 before cancelling it and then proceed to brainwash the public

EDIT: OT: As for what I thought about their conferences, I felt MS had a great showing, with Sony having a good one. The other 2 had one or two things that had me interested, but it was bad outside of that.

I don't see how people view Microsoft's and Sony's as bad conferences (though Sony had some pretty bad moments).
 
Well the other conferences didn't get me hyped at all (Except for Grim Fandango, Manny for Smash). So... E3 NINTENDO HYPE TRAINNNNNNNNNNNN

Compared with some past E3's, from what I've seen, both were pretty damn great. Maybe Sony's was a bit too long (I didn't really watch Microsoft's completely, so I can tell if it was the same), but I liked the long stream of games in both!
 
All my hopes are now with Nintendo after the underwhelming conferences from Sony/MS. Smash Bros, the game that will save E3 from this CG trailer fest showcase.
 
Alright. Heading to bed. Up at 9 AM EST, going to get a haircut (at one of those places that massages your scalp and stuff) and get all nice and relaxed. Stop by dunkin donuts for some ice coffee and donut holes. I'll buy some icing to turn them into smash balls. Then i'll sit back, relax, and wait. Then sit on my couch all day as i watch nonstop smmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmash until midnight.
 
By the way, any word yet if Pit will be voiced by the Uprising dude? That guy was AMAZING, and I can't see anyone else pulling it off.

Really hope they get Shulk's VA back too if he's in, although I wonder if that might be more difficult since I imagine Smash is localized in America.

Ah, I meant that I don't expect to see any new characters, i.e. any who have not been in a Smash game to date. I feel like the starting roster will consist of the characters we've seen thus far and a handful of as-of-yet-unrevealed veterans (Ice Climbers, etc.). If we see any new characters at E3, Pac-Man (or whoever the Namco rep is) would be my only surefire pick.

CGI borefest apparently. It's true, MS presentation didn't contain too much gameplay, but isn't that what the ahowfloor footage is for anyways?

Haven't seen Sony's conference, so I can't comment on that.
 
The only real problem I had with the Sony conference was that it was about half an hour longer than it needed to be so it felt pretty drawn out to me.

That said, the Smash Invitational will finally be upon us tomorrow. Hooray!

How would you feel if Nintendo's Digital Event would be full of CGI trailers since they have treehouse to show off the demos and gameplay afterward? I'm eager to see Smash CGI to see what we are going to get for this time.
