Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (Naughty Dog) Shown - 2015

If anyone here thinks that Naughty Dog can't pull that trailer of in-game, you haven't been paying attention last gen.

Yeah, this.
Joel's model in TLoU looked fucking insane in-game on the PS3, I think that the gameplay will look just the same as this scene.

Now, I came here to nerd about and have theories on what's going on in the game.

First off, it looks like all the pirate rumors were right.
2nd off, Drake looks considerably older, like he's in his forties.
3rd, I feel like the game is being intentionally ominous, but I don't think anyone is gonna die, at least not drake or sully, I could see Drake's new girl of Elena though.

I also feel like the teaser reflected on
the semi-psychotic nature Uncharted 3 went into with Drake towards the end, how he made up being related to Francis.
Sounds like he's looking for thrills just cause he's a maniac.

I also heavily expect Pirate skelteons coming back to life Pirates of the carribean style.

Any thoughts?

Yes but there is reality to think about. Realistically, Uncharted 4 will probably be close or slightly higher to that of the Order in terms of visuals, which by all means is fantastic, but it will NOT look like that teaser in actual gameplay.

lol, I hope you are joking loooooooooooool! Unchrated game always had the same visuals effecst and same untouched models from cutscenes to ingame and you can check that, only TLOU didin't (while they could maintain same models at tha res) that because they wanted to do it in the remastered version, just to fool as as if they brought new things and upgrades besides more FPS and higher res and AA.

No way is this the end of the line for Nathan Drake. They're going to milk another PS4 game (or two) out of him before that happens. Uncharted sells systems, and as long as that remains true they are not going to pull the plug.

Yeah, I really do hope the entire game won't be so incredibly dark. I don't mean the time of day or setting, but the tone. I liked how lighthearted the previous Uncharted games were for the most part. I am intrigued, though. And curious how this compares to Hennig's script/story.

The trailer is so dark that I wouldn't be surprised if nobody died. There will be a bunch of times when you'll think someone died but not necessarily a 'true' death. It's just way way too obvious. Then again, Druckmann is all about that consistent tone.

Drake does look at least 10 to 20 years older. So how fucking old is Sully?

you can tell its ingame with the way the water moves under him and the lighting. this is like Infamous Second Son with 50% better graphics. if it was possible

If they did, they certainly didn't look it, esepcially not in terms of animation or IQ. If that teaser was real time they would have said so, but they didn't.

By all means I wanted UC4 to look and play just like that teaser, but it isn't happening, especially not at 60 fps.

Better idea, Sully dies trying to save Elena and then she dies in a most gruesome death coating Drake in her blood. The last scene is Drake putting a gun in his mouth, gunshot heard during credits.

Do you honestly think Naughty Dog gives a shit about reality? They obviously employ magicians that dabble in the dark arts.

I'm really impressed at how good everything looks. Drake looks like an actual real physical presence rather than just a highpoly game character, and the animations are perfect. Naughty Dog knows their craft.

May be reboot/new story with Drakes son for PS5.

Seriously, if the jungle is as lush and dense as it is in that trailer, I'll just masturbate to this game constantly and not even play it.

Yeah, the subtitle "A Thief's End" and whole tone of the trailer make it feel misrepresentative of the actual game because it's a teaser and is setting up hype and mystery. It's just a bit too cliche: "one last time" followed by skeletons and "A thief's end"
