I just watched this again and noticed something interesting. The part where Boss is next to the body holding a knife well, I believe that's the black child soldier from earlier in the trailer and if you look real close he's still breathing. The hell.

Edit - The kid that gets smacked with the cane and grabs the gun.

Double edit - GODAMMIT that song is stuck in my fucking head now.

That's kinda what Peace Walker did, allowing you to continue to build up your base after the game ends. I wouldn't be surprised if they allow us to do it again here.

There's no need to outright destroy Diamond Dogs. The bad guys in MG are just referred to as "Outer Heaven mercenaries". The Diamond Dogs moniker does nothing to contradict that. Outer Heaven is the name of the base itself, it seems like. Like what Shadow Moses was to the Sons of Big Boss/FOXHOUND or what Big Shell was to the Sons of Liberty/Dead Cell.

What makes you think that? During GZ she told Kaz that whatever needs to be done about Chico, she'd understand (walk to the rear of the outer fence of the old prison area, under the shack by the port-potties).

Don't remember that. Also nanomachines don't just make you potent. That was one of the driving forces behind Solidus' insurrection, was that he couldn't leave behind a genetic legacy.
 
Big Shell seems to just be a knockoff of the MSF & DD Motherbase. Just like Rex seems to be a knockoff of Zeke. Or at least, a better version, or more stable. Either way, what if Big Shell has the name BIG in it because of Big Boss? WHO knows it's Metal Gear.

Yeah this. I don't know if Big Boss would consider sterility a negative side-effect anyway. It's been a minute since I played MGS3 but I do have the distinct impression that A) his sterility is fairly clearly mentioned (by the Boss?) and B) he expresses displeasure at the idea of having children.

Also, Punished Snake is no more? Venom Snake is in. Also, no Big Boss in the nick name section which is interesting.

So there's still a Konami event going on at 3AM PST, right? E3 Countdown says so. I wanna know what the Platinum gang have to do with Metal Gear this time around. Unless they just happened to be hanging out in that picture.

the side effects part was in reference to cancer if i remember right.

so yeah, big boss is still sterile.

They also said that the 30 minute gameplay will be for press only, but Kojima's tweets (in both EN and JP) hint heavily that the public will be shown it during E3. One hand of Konami doesn't know what the other is doing this week it seems.

Paz? Sure, she was a spy, but she redeemed herself. And beside, maybe the song was related to her since her cat's name is Nuke.
Or did the explosion remove that possibility? Her body couldn't just vaporize right? I don't think explosive bomb can do that.

Man, this game subtitle should have been Revengance instead.
Going to be awesome next year.

How many codenames/nicknames is this guy going to go through? Naked Snake, Big Boss, Vic Boss, Punished Snake (scrapped?), and now Venom Snake.

Even if
the bomb didn't just vaporize her body, they were over the ocean at that time, and it was (presumably) nine years before the scene in question takes place. And also a bomb still totally exploded inside her, I doubt there was enough scattered across the surface of the ocean to find and cremate.

Doubt it, think it's either some random soldiers in Diamond Dogs or maybe some fallen MSF soldiers?

Diamond Dogs. Scene in trailer with Diamond Dog branded caskets and a bonfire.

It has been like a decade since the MSF soldiers died. I would imagine there would be nothing left.

maybe when we see big boss in the beginning and then later on in the trailer he screams, his troops and him got bombed and that was the after math he wanted to cremate the rest of them
