LMAO at those complained about graphic.
That's why Vaporware XV never released.
I just hope this get simultaneous worldwide release.

It's a bit disappointing they didn't bother improving the character models but I'm glad this is connected to the Xenoblade world. It means another story and more information about this universe. I'm actually looking forward to it more because of that.

We just saw a gameplay trailer a few months ago, which looked quite up to par with what we've seen before.

This is what you should expect -- a fantastic overworld at the expense of character models you would only see in cutscenes, ala Xenoblade.

EDIT: Oh wow there is some epic hyperbole in this thread.

Looks like a secret Xenogears/Xenosaga reboot!

I bet there will be no salient link between the two games. The fact that they didn't come hard to the paint with this game with "XENOBLADE TWO!" makes me think it's a re-imagining of the universe which allows them to tell a new story that's not bound to Minado.

Which I think is for the best, because Xenoblade gets REAL sloppy towards the end and what everything actually is, and how it relates to the things we know.

Yeah, yeah. It's gonna be interesting to see how they tie it into XB if they have something to do with each other, but I'd rather they have a completely new story. There were some elements to the story I just didn't care for.

Remember when I said the game was going to be 2015 regardless of what Nintendo's calendar said? And how people laughed at me?

Yeah, I've never been so disappointed to be right.

characters look exactly like the ones in Xenoblade. I'm not freaking out for some low poly faces, the game world will be beautiful, as already proved by previous videos. All the haters can not buy it when it comes out

We haven't had closeups of the character models in real time before now.
Actually we did

Game looks the same as it always had. There just aren't large open world panning shots in this trailer.

I don't know that I would call it a downg4ade, but there is certainly an artistic shift. I think I liked the look of the original better, but this looks good too, except for character faces. They look.... wierd.

I need to ask. What type of graphics are we expecting for Xenoblade Chronicles X anyway? The gameplay trailer last few months ago looks HD beautiful. Plus, we have not seen the character faces at all until now.

Not trying to make an argument by the way. I know some of us expect more but I personally like the art direction.

It would be hard for me to criticize this game's graphics as I remember people doing the same thing for Xenoblade, and that game ended up looking great to me.

As for 2015, yeah, I knew this game would be coming out then. I even argued with someone here on NeoGAF over that fact.

I'm pretty sure there wasn't a downgrade considering what's been shown so far. Xenoblade had incredible environments but weak character models, while all of the teasers for this game only focused on the environments. Since this is a story trailer where mostly characters are shown and very little of the environment, the opposite effect comes across.

With that out of the way, I'm really glad to finally have a full story trailer for this game. I'm not entirely sure how it's going to be tied to the original, though Has it been said if this game is a sequel or a prequel?

The 2015 delay isn't unexpected, and I'm just happy the game finally has a full reveal.

Monolith needs to hire some character modelers from Squeenix away because that was kinda embarrassing. Still a nice looking game overall though.

The characters were fugly in Xenoblade too. What's important is the world.

Man I don't know what you guys are talking about

Xenoblade 1 had sort of primitive character models and it wasn't due to the Wii. I don't like anime eyes either but they conform to the the series artstyle.

XB1 had a ton of epic scenes that were rendered within the game and that's how I'll always want it.

Looks just like any Takahashi game to me(which is a good thing). Saga 3 was the only game he had where character models really blew things away, the 4 games he's done besides that however it's all been about story. The trailer may have not shown much but the first 10secs of it made it known to me that the story is right inline with all the other stories(something something gods), that's all I needed to see for this game to be a system seller for me.

The art style is pretty fuckin' bad, and graphically looks nothing like the gameplay trailers from before.

Everything looks flat and washed out.

Damn I am fucking down for this. This game is definitely returning to the Xeno-series roots while hopefully keeping the Xenoblade "beautiful expansive fantasy world" stuff intact. Definitely want a Wii-U now.

Kinda upset about 2015, just hope we get a better game as a result. As of now, I'm officially in love now that we know that this game has a story. Also getting a very "Attack on Titan" vibe from the soundtrack in the trailer. Can't wait for this game!

People are saying downgrade because they revealed the facial artstyle finally? It looks like xenoblade chronicles. Whats the problem besides personal preference? Xenoblade chronicles had a great art style I imagine this one will follow suit.

Hah

Something this about this trailer gave me a sudden urge to play a PS2 JRPG and that's a good thing! I wasn't very impressed with the original reveal (then again I haven't played Xenoblade Chronicles either) so I wasn't too devastated by this.

"God I hope it's not just Monster Hunter multiplayer mediocrity in large, open spaces. I want story."

*Shows a trailer that proves story exists on top of vast, open world environments*

"IT'S TOO MUCH LIKE XENOSAGA WHERE ARE THE BIG OPEN SPACES THE CHARACTER MODELS ARE 1,0000000 TIMES WORSE THAN THAT LAST TRAILER WHERE THEY DIDN'T SHOW CHARACTER MODELS 2015 WHAT"

Seriously, the internet fucking enrages me sometimes.

It's funny since Xenosaga 3 had some of the best models of any PS2 game. Though it's also a much more linear game than Xenoblade.

To be fair those faces are nightmarish-

Ep. III was definitely more... pleasant to the eyes, to say at least.
