It is very likely that you will be able to customize your loadout before tackling a mission! MGS3, MGS4, and MGSPW have camouflage changing, so it would shock me if you aren't able to change your outfit in The Phantom Pain.

With the exception of Keifer, I kinda agree with you. I'm extremely hyped about it as a game, but story-wise, not really. Definitely not like the old days where I'm hungry for every bit of new story info about an upcoming MGS.

Either way, the game is bought so I don't really care.

The one shown at the Sony conference had some of the end parts edited out, the 'director's cut' is the one that's being posted officially by Konami.

Would be awesome to have a snow camo! assuming there's actual snow which highly doubt, maybe top of the mountain kinda thing like mgs3 But so far all the images have been desert like but I'm sure there's a jungle of some sort

A lot of 'bad' people started out with good intentions that got away from them.

The difference between Snake and Big Boss is that the former is being manipulated while the latter knows exactly what he's doing -- which, while good in its opposition to the Patriots, is still bad for everyone else. Remember that the whole philosophy behind Outer Heaven is basically worldwide anarchy and eternal war just so soldiers can have a reason to get out of bed in the morning. It's essentially an excuse for Big Boss to project his PTSD on others.
 
Don't get the haters. This trailer is awesome. Give me a release date, Konami. Also, the last boss will be a Hayter voiced Solid Snake. Believe that shit.

Everything after Snake falls to his knees and screams into the air was cut out, people in the audience didn't get to see the new Metal Gear, Skull Face rubbing shoulders with Big Boss or the part where Snake takes out those seemingly possessed soldiers.
 
I must say, with every Big Boss entry into the series, I was starting to think that Kojima was going to position Big Boss as the ultimate protagonist with Solid Snake the unwitting antagonist. But after seeing Big Boss smother his face with a dead man's ashes... I expect to see absolute insanity. Murderous rage worthy of a true villain.

Yeah!! I actually do believe that we'll find ourselves in a snowy region, so that's not out of the question at all. :-) In the official map comparison image, there's a huge chunk of the map hidden, and in the hidden portion of the map, you can see several bodies of water, so I believe this game's setting will be quite diverse!

I'm still confused. That map, was it the actual map or just a square used for size comparison? I was under the impression that you'd be globe trotting in this entry.

Size comparison! The bit of the map we can actually make out is Afghanistan. Everything else is spoiler-tagged (grayed out) and it appears to go on beyond the square shape of the image!

Might we discover Huey's death was covered up to look like a suicide? Or perhaps his suicide wasn't due to the incestuous relationship between his son and wife, but due to his past sins?
 
I'm willing to wager that Zero and Big Boss straight up have a meeting towards the end of the game. Face to face. Zero explains to Big Boss that Skull Face has been using both of them, that he never attacked Mother Base, tells him Miller was a double agent and that he legitimately defected to Big Boss, that Ocelot is has worked for both Zero and Big Boss. He provides pictures briefing style.

This and something else will set Big Boss off.
