Yeah right. Not like every push for this game has been for it to be on first PSP, then Vita.

My thoughts, meh, I'll buy it on PS4 and sigh when the Vita version finally comes and still manages to sell better than the XBO version.

It's an action rpg. You can have a party of three people that you switch between in battle, and each of your characters has a different weapon so their playstyles are different. Actions are assigned to the face buttons, with slight variations depending on whether or not you're pushing on the analog stick. Overall the combat revolves around the use of a 'kill sight' which is basically a timed target in which the enemy takes lots of damage if you hit them (at that time).

Story-wise the game follows a class of high school age kids who are (supposedly) the strongest soldiers of their nation. There are four major nations and one is running amok conquering others, hence the need for these high school kids to defend their country. There's an underlying god/myth story going on in the background.

A good game but not a great game.

Probably goad them into a DD-only version of the original with the translation slapped on if they have to.

And frankly of all the core games to throw on Vita in addition to PS4/XB1 this is one of the better choices. It'll fit on one way or another, and the audience is there. Seriously, there's probably two primary audiences playing Vita, and those are indie fans and JRPG fans. So it's probably worth figuring something out especially as they can sell it in Japan too, and likely be more successful on Vita there than PS4/XB1.

It's not Shahid's fault that this isn't coming to Vita. This is all on Square-Enix. They have been master fucking trolls this entire console generation, so I should have expected no less. I'm interested in Type-0 for sure, but I'm not going to pretend I'm not pissed that it's not coming to Vita, which is the platform that we were all clamoring for it to be released on.
