Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 8: Put mii in, coach

I'll take it.

Uhh, why the hell does some guy that plays Pokemon on Youtube get to go to E3?

So are people pleased with what they did with the Miis or would they rather have them more inspired by Mii games? In some ways I think giving them unique moves is very Mii like because Miis in a sense do anything in the games they appear in so it makes sense for them to have the same treatment in Smash.

I saw the direct earlier and saw the Mii Fighter segment.

Am I right in thinking that the Mii Fighters look a little overpowered? I'm not knowledgable in the intricate details of smash like others here so I'm curious as to whether that seems to be the case.

I think the Miis are amazing! Very awesome.

Has there anything been said about how Mega Man handles in Super Smash Bros. U/Super Smash Bros. 3DS? Does he handle like his NES counterpart, or is it a mixture of that & additional moves to balance out his moveset?

Of course there's no wavedashing guys. Sakurai didn't mean for it to be in Melee. Also, holy cow at the dynamic orange background

No star KOs? What the fuck? No "blasting off again?" God dammit.
Edit: I see it now. Looks like its random if it's immediate or a star now. That's stupid.

I'm surprised how much I like the Mii Fighters. I like how they are implemented and not just Wii Sports.

I don't mean to toot my own horn (I've been wrong about a lot of stuff), but I'm surprised with how accurate my Mii implementation prediction was. Miis are athletes in Wii Sports, racers in Mario Kart, and so on -- their role changes to match the genre of whichever game they appear in. Since Smash Bros. is a fighting game, it makes sense that Miis represent fighting archetypes here. Granted, I didn't expect there to be three different Mii bases, but I never thought their abilities would be culled from existing games since that goes against the "spirit" of the Mii. They change roles far too often to have a predefined set of attacks. I fully anticipated customizable original moves.
