DRIVECLUB gets actual weather effects, screenshots inside

Gameplay or graphics wise speaking dude?

Check below the post you quoted, I replied to the same thing from someone else.
Yeah, not sure how that works. You can't force people to stream and use up Internet bandwidth, so how is it doing it?

I imagine it would use a lot less bandwidth if it was just a track with car icons, all it has to send it position updates instead of a video feed.

Looks are subjective, if Horizon looks better to me then it looks better to me, and to me it looks far better.

Also, with Forza you have franchise that we've already played/established, we know how it plays and the sequel isn't going to stray far from that. Driveclub is a newcomer and the only thing we have to go on is their past games, which were nothing like this. There's nothing wrong with leaning further towards a game that's already established as being great.

Both, really.
Totes its not like they've not made 3 other racing games. No franchise experience for those Evolution chaps. I mean driving games are all about driving and motorstorm was all looks which explains why forza horizon looks better

absolutely not. it is not even close.

Yep, I agree. DC has highly detailed cars(thats why we have less cars) along with the features those cars for handling/precision and detailed environments. FH2 lacks the visuals like DC because of open world and Xbox one being weaker, but still FH2 looks good overall but not realistic and close to DC in every way.

Report from the showfloor indicate the game is super dark, just like one year ago at E3. Also from what I saw from some sample footage with an utter moron at the wheel, not the best track to show how beautiful the game is. Still, working hard on getting some good looking videos...

Sort them out Blim, they still have time to adjust their brightness :)

Throw it on youtube for laughs though :p
With some Benny Hill music :p

I could put it on the community side of the site maybe :D

Usually the screens are calibrated, especially at Sony.
Where is the gameplay footage? Disappointed at the lack of footage.

It's coming, but don't expect much from the showfloor demo, unless there are other tracks.

I don't get why people get disappointed often without making sense. Can't you wait until they show the gameplay? They have not shown this yet because of some reasons and its not just that they want to disappoint everyone.

To be fair this is Sony's flagship racer for the PS4. I'm surprised they didn't even get any coverage during E3.

He said he thinks both.
On a technical level graphically there's no comparison, but on a superficial level If he prefers Forza, then who are we to argue?

Just hope the thread doesn't take a turn because of that like most DC threads. Different strokes for different folks although I think DC looks far better graphically without a doubt and I'm excited for both games.

Can't wait to experience rain hitting my windshield like in PGR4.

But the trailer shows a full race I think. Let me see..

Apologies, I didn't check the trailer. I thought it was just some info list stating you could watch live races. Dunno how a real video feed would work on a mobile connection without being compressed out the ass.

I can't help but think there's some underside to this or that it isn't what we think, given how absolutely nonchalant Rushy mentioned it in the stream and the fact that actually haven't even really formally announced it.

But they did, we just assumed it only meant cloud cover.

Imagine a track map/overlay showing all the cars and their positions, and you could enter a car's cockpit view by tapping on its icon on the track :O

I don't know that compression would be too bad - the live PS4 streams look decent enough on my phone.

I meant more in terms of data limits when you're on the go. A decent stream would eat through that so I imagine it'd have to be badly compressed.

Yes, and we all know what happened last year when they showed Drive Club well before it should have been shown. It looked incredibly terrible visually. Better to wait to show something when it is ready.

DAMN
So much better than FH2

Why even say that? We have yet to see it in motion.

Leave it out of these threads. These two games are completely different types of racers. The weather and day/night is about all they have in common gameplay wise.

You were in the FH2 thread saying it wasn't a big leap and it was disappointing.

DC is an incredible looking racer. It's closed circuit and it is running on a more powerful hardware. It is obviously going to have advantages. One should expect it to be better looking.

There's no reason to drag the threads down with this stuff. (No, you're not the only one)

Looks decent but Forza Horizon 2 still looks quite a bit better. I suppose we'll see which is best when they're out, but I'm leaning towards Forza here.

Same goes for you.

Anyway, on subject.

Great to hear that snow is in. I hope it's in FH2, but they're being "secretive". Maybe this will push them to show more..lol.

My biggest curiosity is always how the cars handle in a game with lots of conditions and track surface types. Anyone here had a chance to play a demo at E3? Is there one at E3?

Looks really good , it will be really hard for me to decide between Horizon 2 and DriveClub

Why not both if you have the option and/or are interested in both?
