Before the invitational? No way. At the invitational/roundtable? Almost definitely.

There's no way Dark Pit is more than an alternate skin.

Smash 4 will be played competitively just like brawl did. Its community will be the exact same that is into brawl aka teenagers and new people. I will get the game anyways, i like smash games after all.

Well there will never be an agreement as predicted. Still say the leak was fake though. It was never an avatar bet though, I just made those as a joke.

L cancelling wasn't a mistake, but it's also a stupid pointless mechanic. All it does is speed up animations as a reward for pressing L at the right time. Why not... just speed up all of those animations? Or make the animations as fast as they need to be and be done with it. It's an uneccessary button press.

It's funny to me because I know a lot more people are actually really digging it because it's undoing the gravest errors in Brawl's design (air dodge cancellable hitstun, less float on things, shorter hitstop, snappier overall speed) but because "muh L cancels and wavedashing" aren't present it's somehow auto bad. Save it guys, I'll take my reactions from the people actually playing the game this time around.

And this is coming from someone who fucking loves his tech skill and movement.
Sakurai should definitely look into making a new and official complimentary/advanced movement option though.

I can't believe we're arguing about the competitive viability of a game that isn't even out yet.

Re: unlockable characters: I would be so disappointed if that "Challenger Approaching" screen was gone, so yes, please, give me a healthy amount of unlockables.
