E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

Not gonna write the game off yet, but this will need a bit of work still.

With enough polish this could be quite fun. The question is, will they be able to smooth things out enough in time?

they can't just leave us with nothing :O

they can and they will...

Hah yep. It's weird though. If I would be their planner I would suggest "Hey guys, what if we do someone AWESOME at the end of the Treehouse stream, then next year people will definately stick around!"

Oh well...

Lol
Give it up guys, there is no secret Zelda U trailer at the end of this.
You're just going to have to wet your appetites by playing a past Zelda title or watching the Direct trailer 50 times.
:P
Edit: I think I'm going to jump into Skyward Sword. I haven't played it since late 2012.

I don't...think this looks awful? Like, I'm genuinely a little confused by all the claims of trash.

It doesn't look particularly special, but I think there's room for it to be a good game when it releases.

The kneejerk reactions were due to Itagaki's demo, it's a daylight level with assets that seem straight from the original Counterstrike.

Death and clip through building... nice way to end it.

It honestly doesn't look as bad as the trailer they showed made it seem (much better frame rate). Still, this is (hopefully) still fairly early.

Hey, I think Nintendo is actually the best publisher for helping them

The Nintendo polish and shine team will go through this, Im optimistic

This actually looks alright. Much better than the IGN stream. I like how it's trying to blend mobility with shooting and hardened melee combat, feels like it's a very "versatile" game. I just hope they iron out the rough edges. There's definitely a good game hiding in here.

Ninja Gaiden Black has some of the best leg IK (accurate foot planting on uneven surfaces) I've ever seen and this has none. Pretty rough. Hope it's early in development.

No, there's a lot of comments here that it looks like a trash game.

Which is fine, maybe I just have low standards. I just personally don't really see it. It looks archaic, at worst.

Plot twist: Link rounds the corner of the Japanese streets , beckoning us to follow. We round the corner and are met with the beautiful land of Hyrule.

This game looks so rough...from graphics/animation, to hit detection and how the melee attacks look. Also the transition from 3rd person to 1st person shooting looks so clunky and disorienting.

WTF Itagaki? going from Ninja Gaiden 2 to this? probably the most disappointing thing I've seen at E3. :(

graphics are passable but the level of polish is almost non existent.
they need at least 1 year to just fix what they have made so far.

I dunno, I still don't think this deserves the absurd hyperbolic hatred seen in the other topics. Could end up as a serviceable B-tier game to fill a gap in Nintendo's lineup if it gets another year of dev time.

I like the variety in both single and multi. Gotta fix that janky 1st/3rd person transition though..

This game and X need more money for th graphics.

Nah, X is fine.. except for the faces. And I think it goes beyond just art style. They look awful.
