Looks like cloth physics got a big upgrade. I'm bracing myself for a downgrade of the final game though.

I hate post like these. The lighting engine in Dark Souls 2, being lead by a different person altogether and a much older pieces of hardware took a hit. Yes.

However, this is being made on a dedicated piece of hardware, many times more powerful than the previous, lead by the guy who started it all.

He gets easily concerned by nothing, it seems, since almost every post related to this game he's had is related to some sort of potential bad news that doesn't exist.

The way the character climbed the ladder in the new content really worried me. Is this going to be a remake of chutes & ladders or something? Kinda worried now.

Amazing footage overall. The combat looks faster than DS (which is cool as hell). I can definitely see why they didn't show this on stage (old build with framerate issues), but this makes me even more hyped for its next debut.

Combat looks hectic. I understand why they didn't want to show the gameplay publicly, since the game still lacks optimization, it could have given a bad impression to the uninformed press or fans. The wait for this games is going to be painful.

Exactly. Seeing how the current build looks heaps better than the early gameplay trailer I imagine that Sony stepped in and wanted to make this look on par with other PS4 exclusives. I doubt we will see any graphical downgrades from here. Sony has an agenda to push.

Yes but by all accounts the framerate is terrible, even in that little one minute clip that leaked. Will they be able to sort that out and still keep all the visual bells and whistles? We'll see.

Dang, this is looking to be an even darker, more oppressive atmosphere than any previous Souls. Looks like im putting a paycheck toward a PS4.

Also, in the .GIF was there no lock on? or was all the UI hidden? Didn't see anything for lifebars and such.

This is the one concern I have with the leaked footage of the current build; our dude is lacking swagger. His locomotion looks a bit too flighty.

So if this was supposed to air at TGS 2013, there's a chance that the game we saw is wildly different and this footage is no longer accurate of how the game plays now. Might want to keep that in mind.
