On the Earth ''world map'' select Devil's Lair. (Should be a blue shield icon near the middle)
 
I played this for about an hour last night, seems really polished for an alpha. Love the gunplay and powers, can't wait to dig in some more later.

I was watching a video and in the campaign you will actually have npcs interacting with you and cutscenes (I saw some). Some seems under the impression that the campaign will only consist of our silent hero and the ghost / Dinkage. :P This alpha is just giving us a sample of how it's going to play. Introducing us to the shooting mechanics, leveling curve, powers, weapons, pvp, etc. :]

There is a glitch I call the mute glitch. Where YOU get discounted from you fire team chat. It's already fixed in another Alpha.

On the map of Earth when you are in orbit you can select either a story mission, the exploration mode or the strike mission. When you start the strike mission it will try to matchmake you with others.

Heh, I agree. People keep saying read the OP, read the OP. But the OP doesn't actually have any info regarding this Alpha, only the previous one Dax was in and how she liked going into a temple or something.

You have to click the link in the OP to get to the games official FAQ to find the info everyone is asking for.

Dax, couldn't you just edit your OP with this info to make things easier and also add how to join the clan?
 
The Russia area is bigger than I anticipated. There's a passage in wall that leads through some expansive areas in some of the trailers and pops out on the other side.

Also, if you're by the forgotten shores, wait for the fallen to speed by on their bikes and steal one. Unlike your sparrow they have guns.
 
I'm liking Exploration a lot. It's just fun to go around and do random things while picking up materials and gear. I'm not sure how I feel about PvP yet. I only played one match so I'll give it some more time before I say too much.
 
Well, I think I've about given up on trying this alpha. Have gotten nothing but "marionberry" error codes since yesterday and haven't gotten a chance to play at all. Irritating to say the least. Well, here's hoping that the beta is a little more friendly.

Is it unlocked at a certain level? I only see Story and Exploration.

In case anyone doesn't know the little compass at the top left of the screen has a white marker that points towards your objective. It is not a north bearing. It's good if you hate clicking the touchpad to get the indicator.

It also functions as an hostile detector and flashes red when near enemies. It is directional and gives location relative to the player character.

I don't think you can start it before you are level 6.

But yeah I saw it before then... don't know why he can't.

Yes! It's surprisingly difficult even at lvl 8 :D

Ya I saw it, but when you're indoors you still need to bring up the indicator since the compass only gives the general direction. The corridors aren't overly complex though so I'm sure in time I won't need to bring it up as often.

It seems (and this is early so who knows) level is more a function of what gear you can equip.

I finally got an uncommon gun (is there rare guns in this alpha?) and it made a BIG difference. The gun also levels, and gets new sights unlocked!

It also seems there is some sorts of enchantment system for making guns more powerful in town?

There is rare items. I got 2. Sadly both higher levels. :(
 
everyone seems to have better armor than me in multiplayer, takes me a some shotgun shells to get rid of them

meanwhile two shots and i'm down
 
So the alpha only has 2 missions and the free roam right?

That is everything except the PvP right?
