Did the strike, was pretty fun but man does it take a while to whittle down that boss.

I think I'm gonna stop playing the Alpha now. Really fun, hit level cap... don't wanna burn myself out on the limited content before the full game.

I hit the level cap. I have a few gripes about things but overall it isn't bad. But it does seem like a game that you can only play up to a certain point on your own before you need partners. Certain parts of a certain level felt overwhelming for a while but it was okay.

I think I have more gripes about the strike I did on Devils Lair. Gonna try competitive mode soon.

Is PSN actually doing maintenance or is my connection being an idiot right now? Cause I'm having a helluva time staying connected to either Destiny or PSN.

Destiny + Remote play = system seller for vita. Controls really well all shooters should adopt their scheme. I personally wouldn't play pvp on the vita but the easier mission and exploring is really fun.

Currently downloading the Alpha, but how did they map the L2/R2 buttons ? Are they not really used in the game ? When those buttons use the rear touch pad, I always touch them by accident :(

I've had a ton of fun in multiplayer, but goddamn that campaign gets hard. The Wizard regens way too fast for me to get him :(

I'd preordered just to get a beta key, but was unsure whether I'd end up actually day1ing. After this alpha, I am most definitely sticking with that preorder and getting this at launch. I get a Halo vibe, and I mean that in the best way possible. This game is shaping up to be truly fantastic.

Just got to the car/E3 2013 area.

Wowwwwwwwwww. So beautiful. Amazing atmosphere, art direction, environments, music... so good. Any good loot out here? Haha

So is the general Consensus the Alpha is good?
In how many games can you create a character that looks like this?

Yes.

Haven't done the strike yet, but the explore part gets a bit repetitive. The beacons often have you retracing steps through the same areas, and the enemies respawn really quickly after moving just a little distance away. And having other players around you is interesting but as you may all be doing different beacon missions (or just wandering around), it is a bit disjointed.

I guess if you do it as a strike team it might be ok. But it just feels a bit disjointed. Having said that I did play it for about 4 hours :)

Was just gonna ask if the servers are down. Has the Alpha ended?

EDIT: and as usual after I post asking something like this, on the 5th attempt it connects...

Currently downloading the Alpha, but how did they map the L2/R2 buttons ? Are they not really used in the game ? When those buttons use the rear touch pad, I always touch them by accident :(

They made the L1/2 your scope and shooting buttons then split the front touch into 3 sections the left being grenade, middle the orb thing, and right melee

My current impression is that progress bars suck, and that my girlfriend has never seen me go from one-eye-cracked glancing at my emails to standing, dressed, with the playstation on that quickly.

Download's completed, installing now. Will be back later with more.

I wish Bungie would swap L2 and R2 for the speeder bike controls. Accelerating with L2 and braking with R2 goes against what racing games have been doing for years

There are several control schemes in the Options menu but I don't know if there's one which changes just that.
