I was fortunate enough to attend E3 yesterday and my first stop was the Titanfall booth. In true fanboy fashion, I brought my controller out in hopes that they devs would sign it and sure enough, they did, Vince Zampella included

Here's a look at the burn cards they gave away:

The new game mode is a welcomed addition. Changes the overall way to approach the game. I didn't get an opportunity to use any of the new burn cards since I was one of the first folks there. I have some pics with Abbie, Vince and a couple other devs but I'm not sure about having my face floating around in GAF lol

After being a huge Titanfall, "manufactured hype" skeptic and now probably closing in on somewhere around 60 or 70 hours worth of game time I have to admit that Titanfall has probably become my favorite multiplayer FPS of all time. I just love pretty much every second of the moment to moment gameplay.

The game is far from perfect, it's a barebones package and could use a balance patch or two but all in all great job Respawn. So happy I said what the hell and gave the game a shot. I will enjoy my crow now.

Yeah, being that it is the titan equivalent of burncards it should last one titan life. As a normal card lasts one player life.

Seriously, Respawn, get the fuck on Bluepoint and figure out what the hell is taking them so long and why they can't fucking communicate with people who bought the game. I'm not buying your bullshit sequel on the PS4 or elsewhere if my experience with this game is an absolute joke like it has been thus far with DLC and updates. I'm seriously a week from selling this shit and not bothering with this franchise again.

I don't give a shit if it takes time to port. But at least keep us updated with the progress.

Grime: I am not buying an Xbox One any time soon. I'll stick with the PS4 for now. I already have upgraded.

Triple threat is one of the most powerful titan guns

Don't get me wrong, I love the weapon. Especially after obtaining Minefield in the gen challenge.

The issue is that a lot of people are pretty savvy now on how to deal with the weapon in general, and the weapon has a few downsides to it. Each individual mine doesn't seem that strong, so you're almost required to land direct hits with the whole volley. It's not the best anti-pilot weapon, even though it provides rooftop clearing capabilities. Also one of the few Titan weapons that can harm the user, which is irritating since the best way to land most of a volley is in CQC.

Strength is its area of denial, and can be a downright terror in group fighting.

It's a fantastic weapon against new/dumb players or those who overreach themselves, but it's becoming akin to the sniper roosts on Nexus and Colony and goosing where everyone knows about it and how to deal with it. Been my experience anyways.

I think they should be per Titan spawned, as in you can't go through multiple Titans on the same Amped card.

Not sure if they would go through all the hoops to program that, but it does sound preferable.

This would be amazing. Coming from primarily PC gaming I was not impressed with the amount of screen tearing. The ultimate bad assery of this game overrides the crap screen tearing of course but any improvements are welcome.

I hit 93 when I took a break. I didn't even put 10 hours into MP gaming TOTAL in the year prior to Titanfall. I'll jump back into it when the new update drops though, hopefully the PC community still has a pulse.

What the hell is going on with the PC version? All week I've been receiving word of server issues, Origin issues earlier today, and now the latest word is that stats, challenges, and other types of progress are being reset to around the previous evening. Some folks who bought the DLC are not being recognized as owning it either.

It's not affecting everyone from what I can tell, but these things aren't isolated either or attributed to specific circumstances as of yet.

Nope, that's how the game performs (not very well), there was talk just before release (and just after) that optimizations would be coming (i hoped for both Xbox one and PC), but there has been no word (or action) for almost 3 months now. There was a post from someone that tried the E3 build showcasing upcoming changes that said it was tearing less, but as some maps perform better than others - we have to wait and see.

Not holding my breath though, i recon performance is never going to get looked into (i hope I'm wrong) - considering how long has passed and how little has been said regarding it, it doesn't bode well.

so after a few weeks playing, on gen 2 and I must say...one of the most refreshing, fun shooters I ever played. it feels so nice to finally have another shooter franchise to play that isnt battlefield. fills the void that's been gone ever since I abandoned cod after mw2. but to be honest my favorite thing about cod was the gunplay (on consoles at least) because it seems like every shooter I play has some awkward deadzones or weird accelerating when looking around. thinking about, the only shooters that i've played that felt really good on consoles are cod, bf3/4 (thought bc2 was clunky as shit despite how much I love that game), and the crysis series. crysis MP was a lot of fun, but titanfall having much better movement and cloaking pretty much makis crysis obsolete to me (this is just regarding mp)

the gunplay feels like mw2 but improved. ive honestly thought all cod's past mw2 (and playing ghosts recently just amplified this) lost the finesse of mw2s gunplay. the game just felt SO good in regards to that (despite the game being a clusterfuck of massive proportions), and titanfall just improves on that. does this game use hitscan? I honestly can't tell lol

as far as perks go I run enhanced parkour/stim, anything that helps with movement/faster speed. it really is the funnest part of the game. I've gone whole matches ignoring enemies, just trying to find the funnest paths and jumping around like a madman. game feels tailor built for me in that regard, fuckin love it. Rise is really good for this, you can literally spend a whole match not touching the ground going in a circle on the top areas. so fun

my favorite map is definitely angel city. the smaller maps with less wide open areas are far more fun than maps like lagoon, fracture, training ground, and boneyard, which are a bit too open and aren't as fun when I feel like running pilot for the whole match. maps I really like include colony, demeter, rise, airbase,and outpost 207

on 360 theres lot of tearing and the game starts running like shit when theres 5 titans fighting, but it still look pretty fucking good. the detail in every single room is pretty impressive. love love LOVE the art design also, I was kinda sour on it when titanfall was first revealed but ive done a complete 180 on it since then. love the futuristic designs.

the biggest complaint of mine is the lack of weapons. WTF RESPAWN?! 10 weapons is just a pathetic amount. i'm someone who loves to play with a variety of different weapons (bf4 was a goldmine for me, 77 weapons at launch :O). i'm hoping titanfall 2 gets a bump in content. I need my goddamn pump action shotgun!

That was expected before the games even launched. Heck, I even said it myself that while 360 would have higher population, the support for the One version would always be top priority. Blue Point has other projects they are working on, so supporting Titanfall is on the bottom of the totem poll.

Nearing 50 in gen 7 still need 5 chain gun titan kills. 3 charge rifle titan kills. And 17 stryder terminations.

Also I'd just like to say map hack completely breaks the game. I stockpiled 7 of them. Ran 1 in 3 straight games. 15-0 22-1 21-1 straight brutal man

They only last until the Titan dies, rather than the pilot like existing burn cards. So if you see an orange highlighted Titan and dps him down (to use mmo parlance) he will lose the burn card.

If the Titan survives the round, he keeps the burn card.

Tbh they aren't massively op, and if any are a problem then we will tweak them. They're designed to spice up the game, not dictate it.

Oh well, that's a vital piece of information. Yeah, those Titans will stand out and be DPSed.

Another question: will the decals be backwards compatible with the challenges? I completed a ton of them over the generations? And what about for the people that are 10 already and completed most challenges?

Seems like lots of people enjoy it in the Alpha thread, but I'm not feeling it at all. The frame rate is a killer. It felt like Xbox One Titanfall framerate when it dips really badly, but all the time. They're saying 30fps locked but ugh. Felt super crusty. Not impressed with the graphics quality, granted I was running it on a 720p screen, maybe I'll give it one last chance on my 1080p monitor. But still.. the controls... so sluggish. Hipfire feels atrocious. As a loot hunting game it might be ok, but as a competitive multiplayer shooter? No thanks.

Take it for what it's worth, I was never a big Halo guy, so I'm probably not the target audience. But I am kind of excited for the Master Chief Collection, just to see if the 60fps salvages it for me.

I'm looking forward to the collection as well and guess what? I've never been a huge halo fan myself. For some reason it just seemed way too slow for me as an FPS. Which is why Titanfall has been a godsend. I think this game has ruined my taste for anything not fast or not allowing me to rush to an objective (like rushers in CoD). I've got a beta code lined up for when it releases on the X1 and I'll give it a try but Destiny hasn't impressed me yet. Even with all the impressions and video.

Another thing that might have turned me off from that game is before the details were revealed I was expecting Destiny to have the scope of say.. a game like Planetside. I think when that game releases, PS4 owners will quickly forget about Destiny.

What's been people's experience getting the regular lobbies to have DLC maps in the rotation?

Considering this team's DLC implementation was excellent when they were Infinity Ward I'd hoped for something similar here, but it doesn't look like it matches you with people that have the DLC.

Played a few rounds last night on Xbox, got one DLC map towards the end. I imagine they are doing the same segregated playlist thing they usually do. I'm not sure why that's looked at as a particularly good thing. The maps should be free and in a mandatory patch, for the health of the game.
