I've never tied to, because I don't make frivolous petitions, but no, I don't think you can. What are you talking about. Are you claiming you can't create petitions that require <200k names on that site?
That screenshot doesn't look any better than the psp game on max ppsspp settings.
No, not that. But it does kind of remind me of how Omega Force approached Toukiden, where the PSP and Vita versions were technically the same areas and figures but the Vita version looked like a whole different game because they approached the texturing and effects with next-gen trickery.
The screenshot of Type-0 HD released so far strikes me as what you might wind up with if you brought those assets into something like Unreal Engine and started layering in effects and redrawing over the source assets. And depending on what engine it's built in (and the extent of the rebuild of the entire scope of the game,) that may or may not exclude Vita from the possible options.
But of course, that's a lot to read into a single screenshot that we don't even know the story behind.
Does this game even live up to the hype, though? Like everyone really wants it because it has been JP exclusive for so long but, is it actually an enjoyable entry in the FF series?

Dammit i missed out on most of this, but Shahid fucked up lol
Shahid didn't do anything, it was Square.

I personally rather play it on my PS4. This game gets very serious and yeah, no better way to be immersed than on a big screen.

What if they plan to have a surprise release of the vita, but at a later date? I think it'd be nice if they did, and add an option to use the fans translation as a subtitle selection.
I lol a bit when reading about "this project exist because of VITA fans being loud about it"... as if a mega publisher like S-E cares at all about little petitions. Sure, mentioning "fans" in the announcement video let them appear more "close" to them, but if this port exist at all is because they see only now a chance to make easy money by recycling a game 4yrs old and launching as "new" for the PS4/ONE big exploding market now. Type-0 HD is like LR: FFXIII, a way to launch a game with 1.5 yrs dev. at a lower cost to cash-in in the next fiscal year.

This post is full of ignorance. You didn't follow the fan campaigns at all, did you?
At least he is acknowledging what Lightning Returns is.

If Rise of the Planet of the Tomb Raider is cross-gen, there's no reason why a PSP port should be exclusive to PS4/XB1. Well, unless they actually are planning a 2017 launch for this or something ...

Which is ironic given he praised it for months as the next coming of Jesus.
I
They say that western fans wanting the game was a big motivator for them, but at the end of the day, they take that information and then look at the cost analysis to make their decisions, and they look at the health of each platform to decide where to get the best return on their investment.
The game is an HD remaster, not a remake.
There is a reason. We just don't know what it is.If Rise of the Planet of the Tomb Raider is cross-gen, there's no reason why a PSP port should be exclusive to PS4/XB1.
It sounds as if S-E never planned to bring Type-0 here, but we all know that is not correct nor true. S-E 2 yrs ago already completed the translation for the original game, but then decided to not publish it (yet) on PSP because the console was dead, thus starting to look for a more viable platform. Portable market is dead in the west, there were no other options. They waited, coocked, planned... finally announced when, where and how to bring it: next year, on ps4, as an HD remake. Not because fans asked, but because they have an AA Final Fantasy to sell to the west market ready from 2-3 yrs. They always wanted to take it here by default, like they always did bring here any other major FF. PSP just slowed them. Petitions, Operation Suzaku and stuff have been, basically, uninfuential to this decision. If not to use them as a marketing.trick for making the company seem more in touch.
In-engine pic states otherwise for now, regarding what you say. Maybe just a really beautiful HD remaster if you want. But surely more appealing than what I've seen in X and KH respective remasters.
Originally released in Japan in 2011 for the PlayStation®Portable handheld entertainment system, FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 will be coming to the West as an HD remaster
There is a reason. We just don't know what it is.
My guess, personally, is that FFX HD was delayed as long as it was because getting it to run on Vita was a massive pain for them and turned out to be a huge investment that was not at all worth it.
Apparently Sony was even asking them to put it on Vita, and they still declined. So yes, there is absolutely a reason. We can only guess at what it is, but it seems pretty obvious. The profit they would get (if any) is not worth the time or the cost.

You know, I somehow doubt it. There's no precedent of developers having trouble developing for Vita. If anything it's the other way round, especially when it comes to PS3-Vita releases.
Maybe. I'm not saying coding for Vita is complicated like coding for PS3's cell architecture. I'm saying it's not as powerful.
Look at Borderlands 2 on Vita and PS3, or Sigma + / Sigma 2 +.
KH 1.5/ 2.5 were also not announced for Vita, and they seem to be progressing a lot faster.
It was just a guess, so who knows.

Team Ninja making terrible vita ports have nothing to do with anything...
The actual PR given out by Square Enix says so:
They called FFX HD a remaster as well, and it has a lot of significant adjustments to it. So it remains to be seen how much will go into Type-0. The word doesn't guarantee it one way or the other.
And Sony with Borderlands 2, even bundled in their new system.
But it guarantees it won't be a full remake like some people in here have suggested. They might adjust some of the character models but it will still very much be a PSP game upconverted to HD. The development length of X HD was really long and I don't think that sort of commitment will be applied to this project due to time restraints.
I'm honestly not seeing your point. What does Team Ninja's Inferior Vita ports to NG and DOA have to do with anything? And Sony with Borderlands 2, even bundled in their new system.
