Do we have a comprehensive list of all areas we can get to in Old Russia?

Also, regarding levelling up skills past level 8, How do they increase? With the XP you gain or something else?

I went deep into old Russia and found some Fallen had "??" instead of their level, they were pretty overpowered, after that I found a big sphere it was invincible too, then I got the hell out of there.
 
PvP just sold me.

Whipped out a sniper and picked somebody out of a Pike, and then launched into the air to super an Interceptor who had been giving my team trouble.

Is this the quest about defeating the wizard?

There's a story mission (when you first boot into the game, going to the satellite dish place).

Then there is a strike mission (which you saw referred to as the second story mission).

That is unlocked by completing the first mission and doing the tutorial part in the Tower (the city hub thing).

It's been a flawless experience for me so far, definitely not indicative of what I'd expect from an Alpha.

This feels like final code, will be interesting to see how much better it gets from here.

I found those ??? Dudes and tried to engage them as a lvl 3. I got raped.

I'm lvl 8 now and my gear is pretty good (I think) so it's time to head back down there an take another shot. :D

The ??? guys are there so you don't go further into the map, I think they are max lvl. They aren't supposed to be beaten.
 
Yeah, Devil's Lair is lvl 6 and up. Hope we get more emotes. lol. while at the tower with a fireteam you can stand on top of each other. We got all 3 and started walking on top of each other, it was pretty fun.

The ??? guys are there so you don't go further into the map, I think they are max lvl. They aren't supposed to be beaten.
Really? What about getting a hover bike down there and driving past them really fast? :P
 
My skills kept growing after I hit level 8, and I was able to grab a new skill despite not leveling up. As far as I know, you can get everything.

There is a skill exp section. As for Blink it's kind of much. great for the competetive multiplayer. As to some suggestions I can give to bungie from my experinence I would like a bit more tight hip shooting as well as areas of the map that once clearned out say so when you are in there make them little safe zones. On multiplayer a few more maps andlittle shooting tigthiening and we have some thing great.
 
Next to impossible to read everything out there, but I tend to read a lot of the GAF impressions. I tend to sample from a lot of places though. We're listening. :)

I absolutely love this game. Sept 9th can't come soon enough.

But please considering giving us the option to change the FOV, it's a little too close. Also, please remove shotguns from PVP. They're way too overpowered. Shot guns and heavies need to go, heavy ammo drops should be replaced with random weapon drops such as heavies with one clip, none of this running around the whole match with a shotgun business, lol.
 
Yeah even the ?? Dregs in that area will not die. There must be something good there in the final game, requiring much better weapons than we have access to now.

Also, the vault storage slots will be more plentiful, right?

Enemies don't seem to respawns in an area if you just sit there. Once you startin moving around, they spawn back in.
 
Can't stress how great an idea this Alpha was. Went from negative interest to pretty much a day 1 purchase. I hope we get more of these in the future from other titles.

That's how it was for me. I wasn't even going to bother signing up for the alpha because I just didn't care. Now I'm buying it immediately.
 
I had a feeling this game was gonna blow everyone away, I think they have something big on their hands here. Its rare u see devs who can top a previous title of theirs like this. I been playing since I got a code and forgot I had things to do.

Haven't had that feeling in yrs, and oh yeah, fuck that strike mission, 2 hours on that shit I dont think we were equipped for that shit yet. I had a fucking blast!

I suspect that it's just artificial borders for the alpha. Seems like a really simple way to do it.
 
I just tried remote play.
Its looks absolutely stunning on the Vita screen.
They made so adjustments for the controlls.
Shoot and aim is L1 and R1 and the magic skills are mapped to the front screen.
Works very well for combat.
 
Just had a blast in the crucible. Played control. That was fun. Game has lots going on. I think I've finally found myself a multiplayer game for the first time since Warhawk :)

Got it working, just quoted to say thanks to both of you. I needed to get my ship from the tower.

FOV change is never going to happen in a console game.

The second part would fundamentally change how the MP is designed and is also not going to happen. Especially not the part about the shotguns. What the hell are you even thinking?
 
Not feeling the competitive multiplayer at all. The control point stuff is just boring. The combat just isn't that fun.

I am liking the campaign though. So far it's pretty fun. We'll see how it keeps things interesting.

Oh so it's true? Where can we find them?

there is actually a locked setting in the options menu called armor shaders i think. it's not available in the alpha, but my guess is in the full game color choices will be accessed there.
 
What exactly does the warlock class armor do? None of it has stats to it.

Also, quest system in explore mode needs work. There isn't a lv indicator for the quest, nor can you seem to multi quest. Could really use a borderlands style quest system here I think.

Also, it should be easier to find an open fireteam, and communicate with players. Seems to have voice chat, but no way to send a player a message form what I picked up. No push to talk ether.
 
Anyone else constantly getting disconnected from the servers a few seconds after a level loads? It's impossible for me to play anything except the crucible.
 
Just had to bail on a group because the idiots weren't shooting the weak points on spider tank. I tell them shoot the legs and they just run around and get killed by trash. After reviving a few times I finally just left /sigh

Wouldn't a larger FOV also destroy the framerate as the game has to render a lot more stuff in the player vicinity rather then when it's a fixed FOV and developers can count on that being the same and design around that.
 
How much Glimmer do you lose when you die?

What's the best way to farm Glimmer in the alpha? Free roaming gives relatively little - maybe just blitzing the story mission over and over again?

2 questions:

How do people get shields? Seriously, most of the time I'm gonna get killed by one, I have no choice.

And how do I join GAF's clan? I've seen some guys with the clan DestinyGAF and I want in!
