XBL: Games with Gold

Peggle 2 and Crimson Dragon have both been Deals with Gold, I can't imagine they would go into Games for gold that soon after sale.

Lococycle I can see, I reckon Ryse is a prime candidate for a full price title to go in, maybe for July.
 
Now that the games are tied to XBL Gold, I'm hoping for more recent and higher profile games. I'm hoping we see a retail launch game in July, as well as a smaller downloadable. Something like Ryse + Lococycle.

And Dead Rising 3 is the current one so I imagine that is out. I honestly think Forza 5 would be a good choice to try to get some hype built up for Horizon 2.
 
It really annoys me Microsoft waits until the very end of the month to announce the games. Don't Sony do it quite good a while before that?
 
I really hope Ryse is up in July.

I'm starting to doubt it though. It's just such a perfect candidate. It's not selling anymore and both lots of DLC and micro transactions. Not only that, a sequel is all but guaranteed so why not have everyone getting into the franchise this way?
 
I read online that X1 is only having one game with gold per month and that Max is available until 8/3 so that may be next months game as well. Any truth to this?


Also, Dead Rising 3 and the season pass are on sale right now.
 
X1 games I would like for GwG (plausible ones marked with italics)

Zoo Tycoon
Battlefield 4
Wolfenstein
Super Time Force
Rayman Legends

Most of the other games I either already have or don't want.

"Online"? Do you have a source that's a bit more specific than that? (To answer your question, I'm pretty sure there's no truth to any of that.)

Australian Xbox.com GwG page had the dates up for a while before they were removed. There has also been a page that said "1 free X1 game and 2 free X360 games per month"

On a related note the australian page says the current games are:
Halo Spartan Assault and Dead Rising 3 for Xbox One
Charlie Murder for Xbox 360

Seems like some sort of error/mistake but whatever.

Looked through the announcements and they never specified how many apart from it being sub based so it could happen I guess but I will think they would just be using the same setup as X360. With ID@Xbox being in full swing now I don't see why they couldn't give two titles a month.

Its changed now, 2 games this month Trine 2 and Pixeljunk Shooter.

It's weird cause nearly every PS+ game on PS4 has been a twin stick shooter or a platform game. When they went to two games a month it was a twin stick shooter and a platform game. Then MS launch GWG on XB1 with a twin stick shooter and a platform game.

Nowhere can I find any mention of it being 2 games a month for xbox one, just they started the program with 2 games.
Anyone found anything as it's now looking like 1 game a month for xbox one.
 
I know they're free and I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but I've yet to download Max or Spartan Assault by virtue of their review aggregates. Tell me I'm missing out.

Until there's a bit more stuff available. It wouldn't take long to run through the entire collection with the rate games seem to be released.

They're both pretty good, and definitely worth £0.

Just get them a delete them until you get in the mood one day lol

Max is pretty good. I have yet to play Halo SA
 
Does it allow re-download later like PS+ does? Also if my subscription lapses and I renew does it allow re-download? Will grab them now.

We'll probably see it in the coming months, but I wouldn't expect it that early. It's still a "big" game.

Max is pretty enjoyable, Spartan Assault, I opened up once and decided never to do it again.

You can re-download it without renewing. Once you download it's in your library. You could download it again with a silver account.
 
Ah OK, didn't realise you could buy stuff on the Xbox site. It's my first time owning one so I need to set up Gold and all that as well. Exciting.
 
Spartan Assault is kind of absolutely terrible and a little bit of a waste of 0 and 1s, to be fair it is probably only the worst twin stick shooter I have ever played.

Download Max for sure though.

I know this is how it works on Xbox 360, but I was under the impression Xbox One uses the PS+ model. Basically, you only 'own' the game as long as you're on a gold account, right?
