It is where we 'shine'. On another note, I have an epic story to tell to a fellow Hunter GAFer, I brought out my gun and went on what I like to called 'shut some bitches up' on an enemy's camp site over on Rusted Lands checkpoint C. There were around 5 people camping there after getting that checkpoint. I jumped around quickly from the back door of checkpoint A and head for their camp immediately (I was being informed by a buddy that they were camping). I stocked up my special ammo fully and ran quickly below checkpoint C where the 'supposed' campers are. Saw my first target, he was on guard, I ran along to his back and shot him once, he dropped like a stone then I ran quickly up the stairs and threw my knife and ran to her and knife her again, she died. Then I threw my wonderful fire balls grenade at a titan camping and he panicked and ran towards me, big mistake. I knifed him hard and I double shot his companion a warlock who tried to save him in the head. All I need to do now is get the checkpoint and wait for my team to get here, then in come another warlock who tried to nova bomb me, I ran towards her instead, shot her once mid air and knifed her from the back. Then, my team got there and we won the match :)

Woah mate, that's insane. I don't know what you were using as your special weapon (I myself carry a sniper rifle at all times), but that sounds amazing. Getting on a good run like that is difficult, but you sure as hell pulled it off. My biggest problem as a Hunter in the Crucible are the titans and their shotguns though. I've had a lot of big moments ruined by them coming out of nowhere. That really seems to be one of the upcoming strategies that everyone will hate. It is why I normally stand back and work as a scout, guarding at least one of the points while my team tries to grab the others. I don't always have a high score, but it is a great strategy.

Like position C on Flood lands is a great perch if it is set up correctly. So is the outer area near B. I like to transition between them. Early on, before people got smarter, I was holding C and just blowing everyone out as they came out of A. Headshots constantly, and then I would go back to refresh. In my third match, I am pretty sure I went through the entire team at least 3 times, but then they found a way through from that watery zone that is in my blind spot. I threw my grenade near the staircase and jumped down, and they all fell for it. I went in and threw my knife in a survivor and then went on toward B. Ironically, most of them decided not to go near C after that.

Sorry if my story was eh, all of my potentially great moments were gunned down in shotgun shells.

Let's see the video.

One of my favorite multiplayer moments was actually really simple but still fun. Coming from C going to B on Rusted Lands, I boosted over the wall preparing to drop the Fist of Havoc on at least one person who thought they were going to cap B...only to find out that 5 out of the 6 players on the enemy team were standing around the capture point.

It was glorious.

This game is amazingly entertaining sometimes. I am spending my last minutes with a full Tower and everyone is sitting in a circle and taking turns dancing in the center. Something to remember for sure.

Some friends and I set up a game of Duck, Duck, Goose in the area where the three class Vanguard NPCs are with a couple of random people. I took a video; I'll upload it later.

You could easily buy a white grade shotgun (or green if you were lucky on a store refresh) straight from the weaponmaster or get lucky on the cryptographer (?) if he was offering special weapons.

I am still at the mercy of what is available for me to buy. PVP needs to be skill based and not loot dependent.

Well no - for the most part it is not loot depedant. The crucible offers a no level advantage and the only one-up you have on someone else in terms of loot is the bonuses/upgrades on the armour/weapons skill trees.

I also wouldn't say that you were at the mercy of what to buy - must have visted the weapon guy over a dozen times over 3 characters and only two times i can think of it didn't have a shotgun. If it didn't, the stock refreshes very quickly on the weapon master so i went out, did some explore/stikes and normally got a shotgun there anyway before i got back to him.

After 5 hours of alpha this game has me hooked. Can't wait for the full release.

Well after 'this certain' amount of time, I am definitely going to be in the BETA and the final game :)

I can't believe it took me this long to figure out that I could unlock attachments for certain weapons. Finally got a scope for my scout rifle during the final hours.

Also found this neat uncommon plasma rifle with a scope during final hours. It's making the wait harder.

Is the titan general something the same voice actor as sinclair in kz shadowfall?

Yep. I picked up on that too. He pronounces the shit out of his words.

"But the Fallen are CRAFTEEH. They'll find a way to survive. Dey always doo."

How long did you play?

Guns, even crappy ones drop fairly often.

If I'm not mistaken the guns in mp have the same damage, reload, etc.

I put a decent amount of hours in. I think I had uncommon gear for everything except helmet and boots. My armour was low (~104?). I feel that to do well in the crucible I should stick to exploring for as long as I can before trying to compete against other players.

I should say that I only spent a couple hours in the crucible, my complaints could be completely unfounded. 90% of the time I was running into shotguns so it was hard to judge the weapon balance in pvp.

They did the same thing with the Reach beta (with almost the same warning). It remained up after it's official shut off time, but you just eventually ended up disconnected at random. I think they use this to test certain things that could result in massive amounts of players being disconnected.

Thought I'd give this a short go, but instead ended up getting my cyborg (whatever the race was called, Exo?) warlock to level 8 during the first session. Not that it was easy to do that, but because I really liked it.

The loot system and the open world really rock in this. Did not care for the Crucible stuff - Halo multiplayer never was compelling for me. But the fire team lair stuff was awesome.

Destiny just went from a might-buy to a definite purchase on the PS4.
