Ok so...I think I see what they're trying to say.

The poster there thinks that the left wing (the one not as easy to see) is a separate wing from the larger, more prominent right wing.

It's kinda funny because if you just look at it normally you can easily see it's just his left wing. The angle makes it look smaller and farther away than the right wing.
Ridley's wingspan is huge...lol

The amount of denial it must take to see a shot of Ridley's shadow during the section of the Direct on boss characters, with "other boss character appearances" written on the bottom, and then turn around and claim that Ridley will be playable, not a boss, is amazing.

It was the way it (and Ridley in general before) was teased. We've been over this before, right after the Direct. I don't see why we have to bring it up again. ffs

I believe it was the invitational players who said that she was really strong, which is why she wasn't playable at the tournament(?)

No, it was Sakurai (or some other dev, not sure) who said he was surprised nobody picked Samus, because in that build, Samus was the strongest character.

Oh. Well, I totally heard that sentence wrong. lol

Talking about bosses: I really hope they crank down the Yellow Devil's respawn timer because killing it almost didn't seem to change how quickly it re-appeared compared to just letting it leave the stage o.O

For today's PotD I'm finally hoping for some actual Palutena details XD

I posted the gif of it on the previous page. Ah cool J@hranimo posted it again on this one.

At the very end of the shadow clip, Ridley can be seen moving upwards, like a jump. It looks like you can see his Other M face and his arms. I'm honestly surprised it hasn't been seen before considering how much that clips been looked over.

It is impossible for boss characters to jump, even though Ridley did it himself in Brawl and you can't even really tell if that's a jump or not in the direct, so playable Ridley 100% confirmed.

A 4-part Pic of the Day detailing all of her specials. Or maybe just filler.

Same here. That's my prediction for tomorrow :)

But But Leaks didn't list Ridley!?

The SA-X's final form tried that, and it was probably the easiest boss in the entire Metroid series.

Talk about a major anticlimax, there was a lot of great build up throughout the game with that one too

Although I guess it could also be considered like X and Sigma in Megaman X

it's been two months since the direct and people are apparently just now noticing this "proof"

Jesus Christ, I knew GameFAQS was stupid and delusional to buy into anything but just...holy shit.

So far, we have seen all characters but Ike in action.

At least, we will see Ike in action with Chrom reveal trailer.
And then Roy will step out of the shadows, as well!

And at the end, we'll see Snake's cardboard box!

And then later, they'll lift up the box and reveal Bubsy!

And Wonder Red from Wonderful 101's a Trophy character.

What the hell, Sakurai?

Well, Phosphora were shown as trophy during POTD. Suddenly, Phosphora were announced as Assist Trophy on Palutena's Bio in one of those picture.

Edited: I'm saying that it's possible that Wonder Red could be assist trophy but we don't know yet.

To be completely fair, we don't know if Phosphora is an AT or one of Palutena's moves yet (although I too am leaning towards AT).

Word on the street is that Dark Pit is not an alt costume of Pit. Can anyone confirm?

I think (READ: hope) that Pit and Palutena will have Codec like conversations, and these will be different with Dark Pit in them if Dark Pit is the alt you go with

2 trophies aren't much to hype up a new character after them

We've only seen 4 of his alts, which are unchanged from Brawl. It's likely that Dark Pit will remain an alt, possibly with new voice work. He's unlikely to be a boss, it would be a counter-productive to insert him as an AT, and being a seperate character is the least likely option of all.

Ah that makes sense. Too bad though. He's my Ridley :/
Dark Pit is interesting.

On the one hand, his design is nearly identical to Pit, save his color. In a fighting game where all of the characters have alternate colors, this might mean he looks too similar to be a separate character.

But putting that aside for a moment...

Dark Pit would be an excellent way for Sakurai to make a move-set incorporating some of the many, many, many other weapons that were available in Uprising. So far, SSB is representing only a fraction of them, between some of Pit's moves and some of the items.

I just find it odd how he appeared at the end of Palutena's trailer. Maybe it'll just be a case where Pit's sixth costume changes his name, voice and effects (so he plays the same but wields different weapons, visually).

Such a concept could extend to other characters, too. Imagine if they made Dr. Mario an alternate for Mario. Plays the same, but his name changes, his appearance changes, and the look of his moves change (I.E. Mega Vitamins instead of Fireballs).
