I'm still wondering to this day if we'll get any unlockable newcomers (like Wolf/Toon link in Brawl) that weren't announced ahead of release. If that's the case, will they not get a newcomer trailer? Will they get one post launch? What's the point? Or will all newcomers just be announced before release, and that's that!

I totally understand doing a newcomer trailer for a DLC character, because they're really just commercials.

Brawl's was disappointing, but all of the little vignettes they've done for the new game so far have been fantastic.

If the trophy mode in this game is fun I think that's what I will be doing in the 3DS version. The controls seem like too much of a pain to focus on anything other than the SP and gallery collection. Of course that won't mean I won't play multilayer (smash run looks really fun) it just means the less competitive stuff will be my focus there

Also in regards to MK I will just say that I rarely ever play Kirby and he was the character I wanted in smash the most and who I liked the most. After brawl... Well lets just say I'd be fine if he didn't come back lol

I have a habit of watching all the Smash Bros. newcomer trailer almost daily (as I did with all the Brawl trailers prior to its release, too, lol), and until now I was just using the movie list on the official website, but it annoyed me that there was no separate video for the Mii Fighters reveal, and I like to watch a few clips from the Super Smash Bros. Direct, too, so I just combined them all into one big video for convenience, lol. Oh, and ignore the flash of green between some transitions. I don't know why that's there...

Pic of the day. Here's a new mini-game that's quite a bit different from Coin Launcher in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It's called Trophy Rush! The details…will be kept secret for now.

I'm sure it's nothing, but was there a discussion about that wrench icon potentially being an Advance Wars series icon?

Or can we rule that out with other evidence already?

Didn't Sakurai say he was disappointed with all the SSE cutscenes popping on the internet before the game being released officially so his plan was every character would get a little video, like these newcomer trailers, as their personal vignette showcasing them? I may be misremembering and he just meant newcomers and the newcomer trailers are likely these videos he mentioned.

The point is if every character gets a video I imagine the intro will likely be another patchwork compilation set to the game's theme.

I doubt we'll get a Melee intro. Melee didn't have CG intros for every newcomer, this game does. They're spending their CG budget on these.

I think the wrench is maybe a symbol for an unlockable customization option. If you watch the 3DS trailer there are other pentagonal boxes, some have trophy symbols and some have smash coin symbols.

I don't think you read other guy's message carefully. He's a worker of Konami, so he urge us to rely the messages to Kojima. I don't think it's dramatic if he encouraged us. If I'm wrong then my bad.

I think it's hilarious how people are being snarky about "my favorite or main not being cuts" and "snake shouldn't be in the game" are pretty lame and bringing toxic to the thread. If you don't like it then just don't being negative or jerks toward to people who want to support their characters.

From my understanding of amiibos, you wouldn't be able to use those custom moves that is stored on your amiibo. Your amiibo will only be able to use it.

From my understanding of amiibos, you wouldn't be able to use those custom moves that is stored on your amiibo. Your amiibo will only be able to use it.

But how else will i bring my custom version of Link to someone's house? I'm just hoping it's a secondary, unannounced feature of the amiibo.

I just can't take that select screen thing seriously, and that's really not about Snake. It is far from conclusive evidence that our roster will be 47 characters to me, especially with DLC characters mentioned as a possibility in the leak.

Anything is possible but people thought Mii was deconfirmed when Sakurai showed that Find Mii stage where a Mii appear.
Same for Palutena's statue, but I know it's different as he is already a boss.
