Hmmm.. I'm trying to link my Xbox Live account to my PSN on Bungie.net and it says:
"That account is actively in use, and must be unlinked before you can use it on this account."
But then I sign in with my Xbox account and try and unlink it and it says "You cannot unlink an account that you are currently signed into."
Any help? :/

Try linking a throwaway FB or Google account to the Xbox account and then unlink your XBL from it.

I made a thread in the clan forums for PST Time Zone GAF (PS4). Post your PSN ID in there, it'll make it easier to group up with people in the same time zone. If anyone wants to make a thread for your time zone, go for it.

Somehow I have two different accounts with the same username, one for xbox live and one for PSN. I found this and will eventually get around to merging them, but seemed like a pain in the ass so haven't bothered yet.

Same here. Im kinda pissed because I was enjoying it before the alpha. Maybe the Destiny high will wear off over the next week and I can get back into it.

I tried going back to Watch Dogs on PS4 (for a second playthrough) and couldn't get interested in it (and I liked Watch Dogs a lot).
Even went back and fired up both of the Borderlands games and Defiance on PS3 and could do nothing but sigh and play for a few minutes. It just isn't the same.
Have kept the alpha installed. Hell, I've started it just to hear the menu music and will continue to do so (flip the switch and grant access to those servers one more time Bungie).

It's not. Anyway, I will appoint an Admin for Xbox GAF team once this becomes official Clan. No GAF will be left out. I will be playing on PS4 though.

The loading times sucked. All I wanted to do was decrypt the crap I found, i shouldn't have to go all the way back to the citadel just for that.

The Alpha was damn fun. Was a bit disappointed at a few things (leveling was a little too easy, Dink voice acting, number of classes) but Destiny has jumped to my most anticipated game of 2014.

Seems as though Bungie is using it as element of "anticipation." Provides a greater sense of accomplishment and meaningfulness to an item. Perhaps in the full release the decrypting will have more associated with it? "shrugs" I agree though, the load times were scrubby. Time to get an SSD I suppose, heh.

has anyone noticed that you can't betray teammates in the alpha? I also wonder if it will be in the final game. Betreyals while they suck have happen to you always been a huge part of bungies pvp. It use to be hilarious to see opponents accidentally team kill one another.

Hehe, definitely seems like a call back to Diablo. It gives you incentive to visit the Tower, check out the new weapons and armors for sale (which refresh every few hours) and helps build the anticipation of what you got!
Load times will be improved for final.

Is the group PS4 specific?
As others said it's a reason to go back to the Tower, and also a reason to talk to that particular vendor who will also be someone you use to gamble your glimmer away on in an attempt to get better loot. I'm hoping those long load times are because the game hasnt yet been optimized.
