I doubt that vanguard is the raid. When you look at this Venus map you can see that is has similar (or the same) symbols as the vanguard. The moon has this vanguard Symbol too, so i thinks that has something to do with strikes.
I assume the skull is the raid, because in the latest destiny Video where you can see 6 People it's obvious that they are on venus. (if you compare the Video to screenshots or concept art of venus)

It's been really hard getting back to playing other games. I really miss this alpha. Hell, I still have my application installed on my PS4.

Really enjoyed the alpha, i have never been one into RPG/MMO of any sort but i really enjoyed destiny approach very easy to follow the building and looting mechanics of the game and also love the pvp. from the moment i saw this game i was intrigued and i am glad to say that after playing the alpha any doubts have been laid to rest

Anyone know if chests will respawn? Only got to play the alpha Sunday night through Monday night and it didn't seem as though they did... I'd be fine with a 24 hour reset time or something, but if they don't respawn that would be lame. A lot of the fun I had in Borderlands was going on chest runs in the maps, annihilating enemies as I went, would be a shame if we can't do the same or similar here.
And is the loot in chests random?

What is the timed content, and will it recycle for people who miss it first time?
I know there are timed items in the stores on the Tower, and I assume there'll be timed events in the single-player as well

Can you make multiple clans from within DestinyGAF? If yes, then we have a problem. If not, then it makes sense to reserve the name for the four platforms.

Yesh, I won't be signing up for another DestinyGAF PS4 group, this one should be enough.
This should be enough if we[clan op] are going to give admin rights to specific admins focusing on specific platforms.

What it is is that some person thought they'd be smart and steal the clan by creating the group early. So as a result when the wipe happens they'll have DestinyGAF. We'll be back but I'll have to give some thought to the name. Luckily I've reserved one option already but will probably go with something else.
The whole DestinyGAF stuff is really getting confusing now. Apparently the clan in this thread is good but made by someone that wasn't supposed to make it, then there's some other thread where someone else does DestinyGAF divided into consoles for some reason, but it's not a clan but a group and it's all hella confusing and unnecessary.
Please just lock it down in one DestinyGAF clan made by the guy that's supposed to make it.

There are no official clans for this reason I think, as I don't think there was a general consultation or vote on who would have rights.

Called it where and when? Also the OT is different, usually a mod / admin is involved in that.
Open the process up and not keep it among a few people in a thread might help with this issue.

You are coming into this late obviously, but what Valentinus said is that they set up the b.net group DestinyGAF with full intentions of handing admin over to you. They just wanted to get it registered before someone else stole the ID. I don’t think there was anything malicious about it, they are just trying to be helpful.
The Alpha clan is going to get wiped.
I am not sure why another user has set up a DestinyGAF PS4 group as within the main DestinyGAF group you are going to be able to have sub sections, each with their own clan. So you can have a PS4 subsection, a PVP subsection, a Raiding section and so on all within the DestinyGAF main group.

Again, these things are not discussed or announced and disappear within the many posts of a large thread.
Most people would be unaware of the fact a certain user has exclusive rights to DestinyGAF clan or the structure that is going to be used within, a couple of people discussing and making these plans and then accusing people of stealing things and not getting it is an example of how these things can go wrong.

DestinyGAF is the original gangstah and seems to be where original HaloGAF crew are staying, so I'm happy there.
