a PS4 group has been created. Clans are apparently capped at 500. what if we have more than 500 PS4 players?
that's a big reason why I created a separate group for PS4 players only.
i'm tired of arguing. people can join whatever group they like. this or that. it doesnt matter to me. I'm only responsible for keeping DestinyGAF PS4 up and running, make sure everyone is enjoying it.
I dont want this drama.

The best outcome for this situation would be for everyone to just leave the PS4 group since Shadownet refuses to relinquish control. DestinyGAF is the official group.

I dont want to be a dick and post link to the thread here. but if you want it. just go to the main Gaming Page. should be somewhere on the first page.
I'm not controlling anything. Any other Admin I appointed like JBurton have as much powers as I do. Heck any members of the group have a vote in how things are run.
If you all think I'm power tripping so much. I'll be glad to hand over the Founder responsibilities to any of the admins.

I rep GAF enough, and if I need people to play with, I can go to GAF.
I can see why others might use them, but clans/groups have always seemed kinda useless to me.
I'm joining moreso to have the clan tag under my name in case I randomly come across a gaffer on my journey. I'll mostly use GAF itself to find people to play with.

They can, sure. What they choose reflects on the maturity of NeoGAF's members though. Frankly I find it embarrassing that this situation even exists in the first place.

Look, I accused you of doing it just for the ownership, and just apologized to you in the other thread, but now this post makes me want to backpedal a little; You are again relating everything to A) the 'admins' you appointed and B) the members already supporting your group. If you say you are doing it because you just think it is the right thing, then that's fine and I'll believe you and respect that, but I also think it is time for you to take a step back and look at what you're doing and saying.

DestinyGAF PS4 is not my child, I dont owe it. I only help maintain it. everyone in there has a vote, all the admins have the same responsibilities and powers, including me.

I'm pretty sure this is how the Fallen became Space Pirates. Different Royal Houses rose up and battled against each other for supremacy and in the end.. everyone ends up destitute and scrounging for the leftover scraps of other civilizations...
I'm not saying isn't true that you appointed them or that there are some members supporting your group, I'm saying that the way you repeatedly fall back on 'Well, Ill ask [Members already supporting me]' or 'Well, I'll ask [Admins I appointed myself]' is indicative of you not wanting to deal with the confusion and criticism. Your reply to criticism from the outside is pretty much 'I'll ask someone that agrees with me on what he thinks about it and base my decision on that', which, quite frankly said, is insane to me.
I'm truly sorry if this offends you, but I feel that you are just not dealing with this situation very well.
EDIT: Anyways, I'll not be bothering you or other people in this thread anymore with this until something changes or until a discussion takes place, because this is going nowhere very fast.
Kind of off topic of this, is there a I can see all the faction gear? Im leaning New Monarchy but maybe thats not the best place for my Titan to grow.

Not off topic at all! Anything Destiny is on-topic for this thread. A very quick search and I was able to find *redacted* which has screenshots of pretty much every high end Vendor weapon and armor that was in the Alpha.
Edit: Apparently that site is blocked. It worked earlier so I guess they did something recently that caused them to be blocked.

Nah. It's been there about two years I think.
If the majority of people wanted me to disband, I would have done it hours ago. But thats not the case.
When I asked Jburton, he was the ONLY other Admin in place. but now. there are 4 more. and 300 members. if the majority of them want to disband and join this group. I'll be happy to disband it. But very few are voicing that opinion.

That's not going to happen, and I think you know that. Lots of people joined both to hedge their bets (myself included) and just aren't going to get involved in the little soap opera playing out currently.

Asking the admins you appointed yourself is an echo-chamber. You have 300 members because a lot of them weren't aware of the current group or signed up for both in the confusion. Not a lot of people are voicing for disbanding, because they don't have a clear picture of what's going on or just don't know about the already existing one. I suggested adding a clear disclaimer to your OP, you refused and went on without clearly and obviously stating that there was already a DestinyGAF group and that your group was not a replacement, nor the 'official' GAF clan, and that there was no set structure yet decided upon.

I really liked how this game (alpha at least) handled groups/clans.
You can be in multiple groups, but only have 1 clan tag active in the game.
There are bound to be sub GAF groups created, let it be, I might make an STL-GAF clan for people I have meet IRL.
I will probably make another 2 person clan for me and the other guy at my job that is going to play.
Relax. The max fire team is only 6 people and that appears to be only for one huge raid. Join whatever groups you want.
THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A GRIEF FREE MMO (lite). Seems impossible. haha.

Been out in the real world today and have come back to find gaffers bickering.

I don't think it's limited. Certainly the UK retailers (and PSN) that are participating are still saying that they have beta codes on offer.
Having both groups is great, especially considering the 500 limit. Someone should probably create a Xbox One group as well.
Having different groups actually makes sense. That way when you post in the group you know those members can actually play on your console of choice.
