I keep hearing how lucky the US has been and how it's gonna run out, just you watch. Ghana/Portugal/Germany is going to embarrass them! You just wait and see!

This was really the end of the road for the US. They should have parked the bus to get those 3 points. Germany will whip them and Ghana is going to go over drive on Portugal.

Things are going to be back to normal.

Guys, I'll tell you the truth.
I come from the future and here's what's happening in Round of 16:

Sorry for the spoilers... ;)

Not sure if it's fair to place all of the blame on Bradley.

Yes, he gave the ball away at a crucial moment which led to the goal - but the goal itself came down to a moment of brilliance from one of the best players in the world.

All I'll say to USA supporters is don't pile the pressure on him too much. Otherwise you'll end up like England with an entire team collapsing under the pressure. Klinsmann said it best when he kept referring to the next match.

Watch a completely changed Portugal decide to show up in the third match pumped up by crazy Pepe rallying from the back and pull off an unbelievable 6-0 trashing of Ghana, fill the entire nation with some hope, and then lose pathetically to some shit NT by 1-0 in the round of 16 with a performance equal to the ones vs GER and US.

Edit: Are you honestly trying to say that there is no one on the U.S bench that can't play better than Bradley's playing right now?

ok did you watch the qualifying cycle? If you know our squad at all, you would know that he is one of them who is irreplaceable. Again how much do you watch this team?

Completely agree.

ESPN just posted the scenarios for Group G.

Simplest Scenarios

- Germany: Advance with win/draw vs. USA

- United States: Advance with win/draw vs. GER

- Portugal: Advance with win vs. GHA, AND GER/USA win IF POR wins tiebreak with loser (see below)

- Ghana: Advance with win vs POR, AND with GER/USA win IF GHA wins tiebreak with loser (see below)

U.S. Scenarios

- Win/draw vs. Germany

- Loss and Portugal-Ghana draw

- Loss and win tiebreaker vs. Portugal-Ghana winner

Tiebreakers

If the United States lose to Germany, Ghana would qualify in their place if either game is decided by a margin of two goals or more. If the U.S. lose by one goal, Ghana would need to win by two goals or be involved in a higher-scoring one-goal win. For instance, a 1-0 scoreline in both games would put the United States through on head to head. So, if the U.S. lose 1-0 then Ghana must win 2-1 to qualify on goals scored.

To surpass the U.S. Portugal will need a goal difference swing of five (head to head is level). So for instance, Portugal would need to win 3-0 and U.S. lose 2-0. The teams will draw lots if goal difference is identical (this would happen with a 3-0 U.S. defeat and a 2-0 Portugal win).
Basically, it'd be best if Portugal either won or draw with Ghana.

Ghana will destroy them.

Ya that last minute sucked. But going into their final group match USA not only still alive but also control their own destiny while Ghana and Portugal do not.

Win or tie, they are in.

You had no problem laughing at American stereotypes before!

Don't kill me my boss is Colombian.

Did I laugh at any though? If you count "USA wins 1-1", then yeah, but aside from that I didn't laugh at any of them.

For our confused American friends:

USA goes through if they tie or win (lolz) against Germany.

They're out if they
- lose 1:0 (or 2:1 or 3:2 etc) and Ghana wins at least 2:0 (or 3:1 etc)
- lose 2:0 (or 3:1 etc) and Ghana wins at least 1:0 (or 2:1 etc)

If Portugal wins, it's likely the US will still go though unless Germany steamrolls you, and Portugal given Ghana a good beating as well.
