Can't sleep....
media thinks Kuyt is going to play LB
van gaal pls :lol
Australia will be treating this game like it is the World Cup Final, they will be going hard trying to win even though the result is of no consequence.
No Cahill though.![]()
Why not? Give the guy his 100 interlands.
Ill be the one to call it.
USA pulls the upset, defeats Germany 2-1
Ronaldo's post-match interview is the best he's ever given. Honest, humble and straight to the point.
Edit: http://www.goal.com/en/news/3790/wo...-average-portugal-could-win-the-?ICID=HP_HN_1
"Maybe we're an average team," he said. "It would be a lie to say that we are a 'top' team. We have many limitations and suffer from injuries such as with Pepe [who was suspended] and [Fabio] Coentrao. This limits us a lot. We have a very limited team and we are not at the best level. This does not enable you to beat top teams.
"There are no miracles. We knew we would have a tough group, with perhaps teams better than us. I never thought we could be world champions, we have to be humble and know our level. I'm not a hypocrite, I never thought we could win the tournament "
The 29-year-old was not as candid about the knee injury which has troubled him since the end of the domestic season, but did hint at the extent of the problem and insisted he would battle on.
"I don't want to justify myself by talking about my physical problems, that's water under the bridge," he added.
"I'm here, I'm fighting, I'm trying to do my best, I'm running, and obviously it's no use talking about my issues.
"Every day there's something new in the papers about my knee, and about this and that. That's why I don't want to justify myself. I'm here body and soul to help the national team."
Ronaldo also admitted Portugal looked tired against Jurgen Klinsmann's men in the humid conditions of the Amazon, but did not feel able to expand on that fully due to his own struggles.
"I'm not the most adequate person to answer that question, especially because I don't have the moral high ground here since I haven't been playing the way I would hope lately.
"Obviously we had a very long season, but every team here did as well. They were also playing the Champions League and cups and leagues, so it's something everyone else could point out as well.
"I don't think we lost [sic] the game because our players lacked attitude. Every team comes here to win. We knew we weren't favourites, we have never been.
For this to happen, we have to deliver an even worse performance than against Croatia in 1998.
Not impossible, Schweini is basically a better looking Jens Jeremies.

And "better" is disappointed to be used in this context.
Our "swabian" hunchback from Madrid certainly didnt help either. I said it to the other guy here already but the Bayern midfield with Kroos, Schweinsteiger and Lahm will get us very far in this cup. I would have loved to have Gündogan there, but that is out of the question, so Schweinsteiger is our man to go.
Sounds to me like you're already dreaming? Match is going to be pretty even. Even if it's not going to be even in score, in skill and display it probably will. I expect a good match.
Gündogan and Reus would have gotten us very far in this cup.
Fuck life
Damn.
Because he's terrible? I don't know why he was even selected. I was baffled when I read that he was going to play today.
What a great attitude to have for a captain going into the tournament as one of the big teams lol, no wonder he and the rest of the team choked.
saw this during the game, felt violated.
You guys should be enemies of the state after that. The guy in the front almost looked like he was about to throw down his flag lol.
Yeah, terrible from him having given his all during the season for his team and sustained injuries, instead of flopping around all season and saving himself for the World Cup.

Damn, should've walked around all season CR7. You dun goofed.[/QUOTE]
:)
Keep pretending you are happy he flopped and is about to pack his bags in the most important tournament in sport.
Yes, but we dont need to complain. We still have a brilliant squad with a moron of a coach but that is another topic. Müller, Götze, Klose and Özil should be good enough.
is urgen klinsman even merican?
think we could do better with a real american coach

Reus, as phenomenal as he is, is the most easily replaced in our squad. They aren't as good, but we have many other options in his position. Gündogan would have been phenomenal to have.
I just hope in our next game we don't have to substitute a defender due to injury again which robs us of the vital third substitution. A fresh Poldi, Schürrle, even Draxler would have been excellent to have for the last twenty mins.

True. We have excellent players in attack. Scoring goals is not our problem. The defence is, but its not only the last line of four. It begins in DM already and Lahm seriously needs to step up.
I swear to God, Khedira must be getting his amazing WAG to blow his managers or something. There's no other explanation why Mourinho/Carlo/Low insist on starting him.
Why so much hate towards athletes and countries? It's just a game.... Be nice to each other mmmmmkkkay?
I don't think Ronaldo's knees would last till the next World Cup.

hmmm
no.

He runs, fights, wins tackles and is a smart guy, that's what managers like. But what he lacks is simply what Kroos or Schweinsteiger have: make the game.
Ronaldo is done with this shit.
