Is Robben on HGH? Why does he have more pace as he grows older?[/QUOTE]

That's not the point. When he was getting injured frequently, he was afraid to run.

Now that he has been in a stable phase, physically speaking, he can play more freely.

Normally I'd hate Mexico, but not today! Go and kick ass!

CONCACAF!

Although I'm cheering for my Mexican bros I won't be upset if either team goes through as they are both quite entertaining and deserving. Actually I wouldn't be upset if both teams went through. Go Cameroon too! :P

lmao

Sampaoli you stupid fuck! how you leave our team with such a hole in the defense?!

That fucking change...

It was a gamble and it failed. I thought we played well today, it a shame things didn't turn out in our favor. Sadly, I think the ref, deserved or not, contributed to our players' growing frustration.

I think he did the right thing. A draw was going to be exactly as losing the game, I don't see the fuzz. Valdivia was meant to create more chances to score, it didn't end like that, oh well, next time.

The first goal was a chilean mistake, but the second one was a great playing from Holland.

They were better than us, period.

Heads held high, boys. If we get Brazil, which is very likely, we'll give our all. Still ain't over.

Congrats to NED GAF!
Gracias hombre, ustedes pueden ganarle a Brazil, keep ya head up. I really didn't expdct this so my excitement is through the roof, and the axaggeration :p

So Netherlands, of all european teams, parking the bus, Mourinho style, to beat Chile. This is really a Bizarro world cup.

What we're gonna see next? Germany playing "jogo bonito"?

If a team manages to neutralize Robben, Holland is pretty harmless actually.

We will see if future rivals will figure it out. :P

Actually when you "neutralize him" in reality and not in theory you have wasted 3, 4 defenders on him, leaving plenty of room. But he is our strongest weapon. But it's all bench-wisdom.

Good tournament overall for Australia considering where the team was when Ange took over 8 months ago, but still a long way to go for this team to be competitive at this level. Hopefully with Kruse, Cahill, Kennedy in the team and a lot more composure at the back they put in a good show at the Asian Cup next year.

Nothing weird about it. They had the first place if they just drew, and didn't want to risk it too much. They played cynical football, but the kind that gets you the win.

Van Gaal is the man, the only way I can see the Netherlands not winning the tournament is giving stupid fouls away, De Jong is a complete liability.

I was rooting for the Neds since I visited Amsterdam once and had good steak. Also, a guy on their team is called Dirk.

Classic European. And parking the bus is not classic Netherlands. Its is classic "I know overall my team is technically inferior."

So, Holland got a total of 3 goals against their team... of which 2 were penalties. Nice.

And the other one will be highlights on Australia television screens for decades to come.

Bringing Bresh on really underlined the lack of depth in the team unfortunately. This time the opposite happened to the other two games - a great first 20 minutes and a rubbish other 70 minutes. Wahey?
