Thanks for thr compliments and encouragement guys. My son has BIG dreams from playing in MLS to International all the up to National Team glory....I just want college scholarships at the most lol.

Only hindering aspect I see in American youth development is still the lack of casual play. Finding kids playing it in the street or in a field is still almost impossible. You'll see basketball courts packed as well as kids in a field playing 2 hand touch football...but when it comes to soccer you'll see a lone kid, like my son, by himself endlessly shooting on an empty net.

This leads to another issue with American soccer....pay to play (at a reasonable level)
Sure its cheap to sign your kid up for the local middle school team or town team but if you want them to have suitable competition or training it adds up astronomically..

Basically my sons soccer dreams actually impact the whole family as far as buying a new house, a second new car etc.. we count family trips as trips we take to other states for games, tournaments, clinics, etc.. Last year he trained at the University of Maryland, so our family trip became Maryland lol

On average I spend maybe 10 grand a year?
$3,000 for state team
$1,000 for local academy
$500 per week for local MLS summer camp (2 weeks a year)
$75 per session with another development league
$1000 for assorted hosted camp (this year Ajax is hosting a 4 day session, another is a Brazillian Speed/Agility/Dribbling clinic)
$600 for Futsal and 3v3 league
And I'm sure theres more I'm not figuring into play...
(Lets not discuss boots on a growing foot...HyperVenom FT's $225..good for about 6 months)
Tolls, gas, food, hotels....

Theres millions of great young athletes in America unable to afford quality play. We lost a boy last year after his parents divorce, now he lights it up on his middle school team against very weak opponents and his development has become stagnant, he could be such a better player.

yea, thats a problem

one flashy player to make it big on world stage and do nike adverts or something could do great things

I see Fred in there, Brazil unsaved.

Fred grew a mustache, Brazil resaved.

So, give me the spiel, GAF. What's going on in Group A?

Brazil is basically safe unless they lose, and the winner of MEX v CRO will advance for sure, am I getting this correct?

Cameroon's out. This is basically a battle between Mexico and Croatia.

I wonder if Sanchez was such a cry baby at Udinese or did he learn that since playing for Fc Barcelona?

My memories may be fuzzy, but I think he was schooled to behave like that in Barcelona, cause at the time when he played here in Chile, he cried just a little bit when received a foul, unlike now.

But they aren't. Btw your English isn't bad at all, rather the strategy/tactics difference is understood by few people.

Imagine that you determine that in order to win you have to wear a certain player down, remove him from the game in general.

One tactic could be to keep him running after the ball, try to isolate the region you are playing in to keep him busy.
Another tactic could be to trick him into committing a foul so he is sent off.

To put it more precisely, tactics are the methods used to accomplish your general strategy. In other words tactics can change while the general strategy remains the same.

Both are methods to achieve an advantage over another party, but tactics are micro management and strategy are macro management.
If that doesn't explain the difference I really recommend a dictionary or encyclopedia. lol

Ahh thanks, that makes much more sense.

The bolded part, you fucker, now I need to clean my screen, fully covered with tea!!!!

Brazil is safe even if it loses

No right?
They have 4 points and a 3-1 goal rate so if they lose that will be at least 3-2
Mexico have 4 points and 1-0 goal rate and if they draw 1-1 it will be 2-1 and have 5 points so above Brazil
Croatia have 3 points and a 5-3 goal rate so if they draw Mexico 1-1 they have 4 points and a 6-4 goal rate which is way better than Brazil with 3-2....

The TV show about it on channel 4 is airing now only just tuned in so don't know much about details. Something about setting up Ghana to fix a match in World Cup

Thanks for the head's up. Watching now.

edit: SHOCKING, Fifa refused to be interviewed. UEFA did though.

Yeah a draw in Mexico Croatia is the worst outcome for Brazil. They wouldn't advance if they lose.

I was watching the other game. What happened?

He started the game for the first time this tournament, kicked ass and dominated our right side the entire first half, scored the first goal and making Torres looked like a complete amateur in comparison, as usual.

And then the Spanish coach subbed him off after 56".

This is sad. He always have good best for Spain. Why is he being treated like this?

Huh? This is how we treat our legends, buddy. Didnt you know that Casillas Is the worst keeper in the history of Spanish football? And Xavi Is nothing but a gardener. Fucking Spaniards. Ungrateful cunts.

Well tbh, that gardener thing about Xavi Is true. And fuck Del Bosque btw
