#justice4suarez

That mic's getting bit.

Don't know if this has been discussed but, wouldn't this also mean he can't be registered for tournaments? I mean, if he can't be transfered can he be registerd for the Premiership or Champions League?
Nope he's banned from all football related activities. Can't even train with his team or other football teams for that matter.

How the fuck can anyone say this is harsh?

First time he bites someone he gets banned for 7(?) matches.

Bites someone again 10 matches.

Bites someone for the THIRD time and some think this ban is harsh. He needs to learn.

He deserved a punishment, but the 4 months on top of the 9 match ban seems harsh.

what

The ban is ridiculous.
This "man" did this three times while being televised with thousand cameras. Just imagine what would he do if he played in a minor league.

Problem is, even IF Liverpool wanted to sell him, he would still fall on his feet since he's really good when he's not being a dickhead.
I have no simpathy left for Uruguay, I always liked them very much and they have a wonderful story, in and out of the football stadium, but the whole team defending a shitbag like him, in 2014, when you could see EVERYWHERE what he did... I hope Cavani will continue his downfall and drag them out of WC.

That fact that he's also banned from playing for Liverpool until November is hilarious. That's like nine premier league matches and three champions league. GG.

Weak. The guy's a repeat offender who flops and lies and bites people. If it was his second go, maybe the ban might suit, but it's his 3rd effing time pulling this shit. Ban his ass permanently already.

Location, Liverpool or Uruguay?: Inconclusive

Which one is it? No one else would say something this absurd otherwise. He's lucky, frankly. A lifetime ban or at least 1 year would have been more reasonable and may have actually prevented him from pulling this stunt a 4th time. He'll do it again though.

Neither. From England and follow Birmingham City.

10 games didn't stop him last time, I think a more considered approach regarding treating his mental health now would be the sensible option.

Also this would've been laughed off 20 years ago. The 24 hr media circus around this has blow it out of all proportion. FIFA need to get some perspective, he barely grazed the Italian after all.

They would have been nicer, if it wasn't his third damn time.

Liverpool knew he was insane and supported him anyway so they deserve what they got.

Give over, they accepted the last ban for biting without contest, and punished Suarez internally, and haven't said anything positive or negative about Suarez since the last bite.

Unless you consider "supported him anyway" to cover "paid him to play football", which would be ridiculous

It's not Fifa's job to rehabilitate him, it's to punish him. And nothing was blown out of proportion, he opened his mouth as wide as possible and sunk his teeth into another player, for the THIRD time.

Liverpool could decide to sell him and hope for a 4th place or keep him and pray he would stay quiet. They chose to give him another chance, they failed both the league title and the bet on Suarez itself so...

Of course they accepted it he did fucking bite someone.

Yes I do consider keeping a player, paying him and letting him play as supporting him.

Couple of thoughts on this.

Firstly, I don't think this is harsh on Liverpool at all. It is the risk they took employing a player who has repeatedly engaged in this sort deviant behaviour and, in all honestly, I'm surprised it's not even longer considering the season doesn't start until August.

Secondly, I'm glad to see those who thought he was "untouchable" or would get away with it were wrong. That was never going to be the case for violent behaviour, in full view of the world.

Should have been a year ban from all football. Cantona got 8 months for kicking someone which he should have got. This guy bites three different people and only get 4 months. He will do it again no doubt.
