Eh a lot of them play a small set of older games over and over again. Not going to champion them for that.

All those "well that confirms it" posts in the last couple of weeks were all so much stretching.
The only confirmed thing we know is that Dan is starting his new job on monday in SF but thats it. Of course I expect him to go to gb but there was really no confirmations anywhere. People are really grasping at straws to find some kind of confirmation.
Obviously not a definitive confirmation, but it's definitely not grasping at straws. Jeff has said the new hires start next week, even showed their desk space in a mailbag video.

Dan has his friends on lock down (unlike Jason) so his appointment has never been confirmed. The timing is very coincidental though.
Also remember that not everyone likes to troll so I imagine if someone else had the job, then they would be telling people. Jeff and the new guy just like to play with people, I doubt Jeff forbid anyone announcing it for themselves.

I'm not usually one for car games, but that looks like a blast to play. I'm hoping it goes on the steam Daily sale. Rorie mentioned it was 40% off at some point, has it already been on sale?

I really wish Giant Bomb would diversify more. Don't get me wrong I'm sure Dan and Jason will be great, but do we really need more D and J names in the office? If you count that irish guy we'll basically be at 3 D's and 2 J's in the SF office. I'm not saying they needed to hire an X or Q or anything but a L or S would've been nice.

Nintendo fanboys can be some of the most obnoxious people about reviews, ever.
W101 is getting average scores? Gaming media is crap, they don't even know how to play games!
SM3DW is getting awesome scores and goty awards? See, Nintendo is still making great games!
The Gerstman/Yoshi thread even had a guy complaining that Jeff gave State of Emergency a better score over Wind Waker. Some people really are obsessed over what score someone else gives them.
I like that Jeff looks better over time for giving that score, as Twilight Princess is looked at more and more unfavorably over time.
Same with console Bioshock retail disk issue.
Really? I liked Twilight Princess when I played it why is it so hated on. No clue what the Wii version was like though.
I feel it's started to make a comeback though since the release of Skyward Sword.
It's not that hated on, it's just seen as a solid but not amazing, safe, and frequently dull Zelda game. Certainly not worthy of people losing their mind over an 8.8 at the time.

The funniest thing I remember about the TP review was when someone referred to him as Jeff Girth-mann.
No and I just read his review and it was spot on. A really fun game that has a few quirks and doesn't really do anything new. Also 8.9 is a great review score so I am not sure why everyone would flip out. If anything the other Zelda's are probably a little inflated in review score due to their history.

Wrong about commas, wrong about everything
I played the Wii version and it's probably among my favourite Wii games. With each Zelda games some people just really hate it (I really hate Skyward Sword and dislike Windwaker despite it's awesome cartoon graphics) and some love it.
