They usually last two years. You can check by going to Account & Coins -> Coins & Status and it will tell you how many coins you may have expiring

I was thinking of downloading Wario Land 4 because I got 10 play coins for getting Advance Wars and Golden Sun each, but on the eligible products list Wario Land 4 isn't listed and neither are any of the GBA games. Was that a limited time thing where you get coins for them or are GBA games just not listed for some reason and I will actually get coins for buying Wario Land 4?

Click on account settings. Click the coins tab, there will be a portion that says how many (if any) coins will be expiring for you at the end of June. Coins have a 2 or 3 year expiration on them (forget exactly how long) with coins closer to being expired being used first.

Don't do it! VC games only give a post-play survey, which takes 7 days to show up. Have you not downloaded Netflix, Hulu Plus, Rusty's Real Deal Baseball, and/or Stell Diver, yet? Think all those have a registration survey.
