They could give him a sword

They did. Twice.

Does it really matter if any stage is fighting on a platform?
I just like it when a stage feels more part of the world than a big observation platform that happens to float around in it and occasionally interacts with it. It's what makes, say, Fountain of Dreams or Lylat Cruise more palpable to me than... Halberd or something. Or the way that Town and City sounds in Smash 4.

I think this is a really confused and up-way-too-long way of saying that I think flying stages kind of rob you of particularly interesting stuff that leverages the environment in a way it might have if it just focused on one locale. It's more tour guidey.

Yeah, and having that in his moveset would ruin him more lol (assuming they kept the run and terrible aerial properties).

So revamp his overall character instead of hesitating and keeping him as merely a slower and stronger but yet more predictable Captain Falcon. Keeping him this way only ruins the source he comes from and merely places Ganondorf as a Aesthetic to mirror a playstyle mirrored by Falcon. He has very few differences that make him different from Falcon.

I don't have as much of a problem with it here, as Xenoblade as a whole has a few environments that are primarily just big floating platforms already - Eryth Sea in particular stands out as basically being a Smash stage already, as do Mechonis Field and Agniratha with their precarious drops, elevators and catwalks. Using a moving platform in a "tour guide" format also represents Xenoblade's gameplay flow - quick travel around a large world, spending a couple of minutes in corners of each location for random drops, unique enemies, materials and such.

In Brawl he has a good amount of differences. He's as much a clone as Fox and Wolf. The only problem with Brawl Ganondorf is how he's like an old man.

Other then speed, power difference, and a few attacks I see the same character as Falcon but as a old man or slower as you said. Since my brain can't comprehend your viewpoint you'll have to explain in more detail.

He has different moves with different properties. There are some similarities, sure, but they're different from one another. Like Wolf.

Most (all? I'm not sure) of Ganon's A attacks in Brawl seemed to be animated from ground up to avoid ripping things straight from Captain Falcon, unlike in Melee where he just had slower versions of Captain Falcon's animations aside from a couple of exceptions (Air Forward A, Up A). And, of course, they already had different proprieties anyway, but the new animations just further differentiated them even gameplay-wise.

It doesn't change the fact that his play style is based on Captain Falcon in the first place though, and, of course, the specials are similar and not based on Zelda games, which is the actual problem.

That's my issue. You can throw around different properties and speed of attacks all you want. Still doesn't change the fact it isn't true to Ganondorf's character when Black Shadow could easily use the current set.

How is it not true to Ganondorf's character? He uses black magic to crush foes.

In Brawl, it's not just speed and proprieties though. For example, compare C.Falcon's Up Smash with Ganondorf's. Captain Falcon's is a double spin kick, while Ganondorf just stretches his leg to the air diagonally. Captain Falcon's forward A is a roundhouse, while Brawl Ganondorf does a keep away kick(similar to the one from that "This is Sparta!" meme), etc. Although all that was basically built around the C.Falcon inspired play style anyway.

Captain Falcondorf is the best villain character in the game and all they should change is his recovery, "muh source material" and "muh sword" be damned.

Honestly, I'd love if they just started from square one with Ganondorf. In all of his major appearances, he's used magic and swords. Outside of Smash, we've rarely seen him use brute force and fight with his bare hands (though he is clearly more than capable of doing so).

However, just throwing some sword moves on top of his current set would probably suck, yes. I'd like to see an entirely new moveset that utilizes some ranged magic, some sword attacks, and maybe even a few punch/kick moves as a throwback to his past two appearances.

Maybe it's asking for too much, but it would be pretty cool for a veteran to be completely revamped. He'd essentially be a like a newcomer.

Not exactly a high bar when there are only 2 real villains in Smash bros (Bowser and Ganondorf). At a very big push you could maybe move Wolf and Dedede from rivals to villains (but I wouldn't).

I'm not sure if anyone here heard of a rumor that someone already played as Ganondorf on the demo. Apparently a kid that clicked on random and the random gave him Ganondorf.

Here is a whole story,

I'm going to end with a special surprise thing since I'm on the topic of Xion. He only actually has played smash 4 once, but he was going around distributing fliers to promote a tournament at both the Best Buy I was at and at the one in Lee's Summit. With his own eyes at the other one, he watched a little kid pick random and get... Ganondorf! Yeah, apparently random in the demo is buggy and could pull Ganondorf, and this otherwise unknown little kid at one of the least popular Best Buys was the only one who ever found something this fantastic from it. Unfortunately the player who got Ganon was apparently not very strong and just kinda mashed so it was hard to see much of how Ganon was changed, but he was based on his Twilight Princess model like in Brawl. Xion said Ganon had his Melee side special but otherwise seemed a lot like Brawl Ganon though he noted that Ganon seemed really unfinished which means that basically all the gameplay stuff has to be taken with a huge grain of salt in terms of relevance to the final product. I've known Xion for years; I can tell you he's not lying about this. So yeah, Ganon confirmed... if there was any doubt.

There's no way that's real, but that's funny that Ganondorf is more of a clone than he was in Brawl in this story.

Interesting.

I'm no Ganondorf main myself, but I would like to see him be included as well because he is one of the most iconic villains in gaming history.

Seems legit.

This does not seem legitimate at all. Ganondorf is definitely in, but lol.

They should make his dark dive not put you into special fall if it misses and let you cancel aerial flame chokes into a throw to stop people from intentionally running into it to force an SD (they should also change Ikes quickdraw to only attack if you press the button again to fix the same problem).

Also wizard foot should refresh second jump again so it's actually useful as an edgeguard.

That's all I'd ask for him, maybe less lag on aerials so he can actually combo better but that should be a global change to all characters.

Not in Street Fighter Alpha

You have to input the codes to get Akuma, iirc.

Edited:

Put the cursor on the random box on your side and hold L2, then on the 1st controller press Left, Left, Left, Down, Down, Down, Square + Triangle. On the 2nd controller press Right, Right, Right, Down, Down, Down, Square + Triangle

Basically it's easier to get Akuma than just take a chance to trying to get Akuma.

Okay be honest you guys, which one of you dudes made this video?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcN2yUnwcjk

(colorful language warning*)

Knuckles is super salt about shadow man, I guess its understandable i guess you get designed for a new sonic series everyone talks shit about your design and then ask whens shadow. He just letting off steam man.

MASSIVE EDIT

That kid- teen - young adult- adult , is super salt about a multitude of things.

If I can adresss the issues of the video in order of appearence, Imma try to do it super nice

1 ) I too think its silly to suggest that tails Knuckles or Shadow maybe shouldn't be in smash, However saying " fucking " and calling people " retards " wont change their minds. Some people with popular characters dissociate them with their franchise because they may only like one or two characters. IE when people say they want final fantasy characters, and they only mean cloud. I think there is a bit more to say that now is the time that more shadow disassociation is happening, ( maybe there was a reason one of the the first questions asked about boom was " are there more characters, is shadow in it ") but that's another conversation for another day. Stop with all the cursing

2) Shadow the hedgehog probobly wouldn't fight like sonic, Shadow hog suggested he would before I didn't respond because shadow hog has played the games that would suggest otherwise. But yeah there is shit in existence that would prove otherwise. He would be fast wesker, teleports shadow moves that kind of thing. What would his final Smash be : Super shadow chaos blast.

3) I know knuckles was the cool guy first , peeps like shadow a lot doe. Stop cursing dude. He's a cool color pallet with DIO powers, who thinks, and in many ways is , is superior to everyone else. I could see people really getting into that guy. Like how people like wolverine or Virgil or whoever , its a popular character archetype . The rival character, or former, that gets to be revealed to be actually stronger than everyone else and has been fighting with training gloves . He hits in a lot of places for peeps. This seems to more of a " Why knuckles should be in rant" than why " Shadow shouldn't be in " rant, this guy doesn't like tails apparently. " Tails is lame " Tails is a cool guy =(

In many ways I get this kid, it sucks sometimes when that guy you like ain't as popular as you the guy is. It be like that sometimes, a lotta peeps like shadow more than knuckles its cool .

Last thing about that video , Video person If that is your adult voice. Heavily consider learning how to act, because the teenaged animu boy man market is dominated by JYB , Yuri, and Haberkorn. And we need to diversify that market

The people who don't want Tails/Knuckles to be in but want Shadow are probably not the same people. Unless he's referring to Miiverse and in that case, why even bother?

No they are the same.
Its like when people say FF character should be in thing but they mean cloud. They only like their guy
