The Algerians were going to run the ball back to the spot so play could begin as soon as possible. Neuer knew exactly what he was doing there, and it wasn't him being a thoughtful person and wanting play to resume quickly too. It's a tactic to waste as many seconds as possible. There's no need to defend it.

Don't get the fuss over the Neuer scene at the end of the game. That's something I see every weekend (during seasons) and somehow then no one complains. Well, the opposing team but not the whole interwebz. ;-)

I watched every single match this world cup so far, none of the fans bothered me except when Algeria played Russia (blatant laser shooting at the Russian goaltender's eyes) and Algeria vs. Germany... Thanks for your comment though, but I think you should ask yourself what you can and what you cannot handle.

The whistling wasn't as common in other games as in this game. And it's still annoying. So people are gonna complain. Just like in 2010 when everyone complained about the vuvuzelas.
