Ugh, yeah.. Radio is my very, very last resort...I've been spoiled by watching every single match in this world cup so far, that's right, every single match, give or take missing the first 20 minutes of some early matches, other than that... all of them.
It's kinda hard for me to swallow missing , what looks like to be my most anticipated match of this World cup, I need to figure something out!
I had the privilege of working the day of the 98 Argentina Holland match, I was on the bus home when Jack van Gelder screamed "DENNIS BERGKAMP! DENNIS BERGKAMP! ", i never been so extravert on public transit in my life.
Hey who knows, maybe it'll be like the Iran - Nigeria match where you wish you couldn't see the awful play from both sides.

lol hate is all you have since Portugal's players were diving left right and center in that game. As soon as someone would make a cross you had 3 portugal players falling in the box as if there were snipers in the stadium.
France doesn't have a diving reputation, unlike say... Portugal and Italy.
Also that was a penalty, Cavalhio caught his right foot and made him drop, but keep on crying 8 years later.

I'm pretty nervous about the USA game. I rate Belgium; always a bit wary of the teams that play poorly and get results... with so many good players, they've definitely got another gear. just hope we can knock them out before they find it. we're a scrappy team so, whatever happens, it'll be a tight, physical game I thinkprobably decided by no more than a goal.

Every year is Messi's year and then it turns out to be not. Let's face it: Messi can't win the World Cup on his own, and his team is not good enough to support him properly.
Hell yeah dude. I think what people might be missing is that CONCACAF has already won. All about the expectations baby (which are honestly zero). 3/4 teams in the Round of 16? That is glorious.
Our most skilled side, Mexico, is out but they showed well and the Ticos are through and will be cheered no matter what. (I think most neutrals would pull for them too.) As far as USA who knows, maybe they can get lucky and beat a much better side. It certainly seems to happen all the time.

But even before the red card, Greece was mostly controlling possession and the flow of the game. The only goal they allowed by you guys was one of the worst I've seen this cup and totally out of character for Greece to allow, it looked like it was in slow motion lol.
Other than that one goal, Costa Rica didn't have much going on, Greece just could never fucking close (and had some awful luck too with one shot hitting off the keeper's leg by pure dumb luck as he missed a dive to stop the shot). We just don't have good enough strikers, Samaras on his good days but that's it.
Netherlands though has a world class offense, they won't fuck up all those chances like we did. I love underdogs so I hope Los Ticos can surprise me, but I think this is the end of the line. Not that that would be anything to be ashamed about if it were- a tiny country like Costa Rica getting into the final 8 is a huge accomplishment. But after they struggled with Greece, I just don't see semifinals in their future.
