I did think knocking over those beer cans was a little crossing the line, but he said he thought they were empty.
 
Catching up on UPF. Watching the Steam Sale ep and man, chat trolled Jeff hard with those game choices. Fucking Bad Rats, lol

Dan being mad when he loses? That Mario Party 2 one... was it a Replay, or super replay showdown? One or the other. He got pretty mad at the rest of them... though they were constantly messing with him. Tim Turi sabotaging multiple 2v2 team minigames by refusing to do anything while teamed with Dan was pretty mean... but of course one of the things with the Game Informer videos was 'the others find Dan annoying', Dan has that evil laugh, etc, so you can kind of understand it. Still kind of cruel though.

this week's was great and they went off topic a lot. It is still a car racing podcast first and foremost, so don't expect bombcast levels of off-topic-ness. or hey, maybe you'll get into f1 like I did!

it could have been a fun episode but the chat was picking awful games that didn't end up being that fun to watch. made me cry all day.

I remember Patrick having a conversation on the bombcast where he mentioned that you shouldn't use phrases like "FPS, MOBA or Mod" (not his exact words, can't remember the actual examples) when writing something cause you shouldn't asume that everybody already knows what they mean and new gamers might be turned off by this.

That Ravaged quick look is the only quicklook that I've gone out of my way to watch multiple times because the plant and payoff is so god damned amazing. That moment alone is the funniest thing I've ever seen on Giant Bomb but it's almost wasted without all the build up with Vinny trying to pilot an aircraft throughout the entire video.

I can see his point. Doesn't he have some formal journalism training? Pretty sure it's taught stuff like that is frowned upon.

Wow, that's quite high. Didn't think it'd be much over $100, must be all your import fees on alcohol. If people wanted more money to go to a local SF dog kennel charity, you can pull a Ubisoft and downgrade that to a Macallan 12. Should be about half the price.

You're a fucking champ for sorting all this shit out btw.

It's $229 with shipping. For the rest, someone suggested a good bottle of whiskey, and recommended Macallan 18 (If people have other brands let me know). Looking online, I'm seeing prices $180-200. Though I'll have to get this in person as they don't ship to MA (and if anyone knows of better liquor stores in the MA or NH area let me know). Still leaves plenty of money for puppy magnets, wrapping paper, and other oddities. So still looking for suggestions on those fronts.

I really think a donation in Rorie's name to a reputable dog rescue in the Bay Area would be FAR more appreciated than a $200 bottle of Scotch.

Either way is fine with me personally. If people like this more, someone find me a Bay Area rescue shelter that takes online donations, and we'll find a way of doing that instead.
 
Rocket Dog takes online donations. They are actually fairly close to the CBSi office.

Copper's Dream animal rescue also takes online donations, and you can sponsor a dog for $40. The sponsor's name and a message will appear on their website. We could probably afford to sponsor a few dogs in Rorie's name.
