Anyway, I'm still too jacked up, but man, only one team deserved to win and that's Oranje. Yes, I know, I'll get some angry comments because LOL FLOPPEN, but seriously, let's review the game. Ever since the first minute the Ticos parked the bus in front of their goal and they did that extremely well. They out-Greeced Greece. That's quite the acomplishment. Van Persie and Depay played a shit game, so when Oranje finally found a hole in their defense they fucked up. De Vrij wasn't playing a great match either, shame. Robben however was on fire. They needed four yellows to stop the guy. Great stuff. But as the game dragged on, you just got annoyed at how solid that Costa Rica defending was. After sixty minutes or so, I was already fearing a penalty shooting. "Not like this!" Apparently it should happen because the goalposts were Navas's best friend. Extremely unlucky for Sneijder. Even after 120 minutes of play (Dumb yellow card from Huntelaar, WTF at Ruiz faking an injury) we were pretty unlucky, although that safe by Cilessen was brilliant.
The keeper sub? WTF. But I think that's what pushed the Ticos over the edge. Great stops by him. Great kicks by our guys. Kuyt was great.
Anyway, so happy we're going to the semis. It's only justice, really. We need more Robben. He is simply amazing this WC. I know a certain portion of GAF can't wait to rush out and throw out the LOL FLOPPEN comments, but I've seen all of the fouls on Robben and really guys, he got little pushes, tackles, blocks and what not this game. No dives there. Yes, he has that reputation but really guys I implore you to watch reruns of the fouls. You'll see you're wrong.

Oh man. He got 4 legit attacks on his body tonight because he did not dive this time. He was in luck that he was not seriously injured.
Diving becomes a defensive nature as well. Knowing that you can not be stopped and that defenders only see one outcome; a hard tackle.
Despite his beautiful swan dive in the Mexico match, it was still a penalty.

Nope, pretty sure its mostly diving, even if they are excellent players. Lets not act like we are blind, especially not with all the slow-motion replays availible. But then again, Neymar and Suarez are far than Robben when it comes to diving.

Robben is a great player and as such he gets fouled a lot but he also dives a lot and the dives are part of his game now (the last couple of years). IMO that's not good for him, in the future he's probably gonna be remembered more for his dives than for his skill.
