Costa Rica had an amazing World Cup that many other teams can only wish and dream they had. Their defense was one, if not, the best in the tournament; defense includes goalkeeper as well. Did you see how many offside traps they did? Playing with an offside trap is hardly considered in football this day and age because you have to be so mentally and physically focused, that one slip can mean a game. So hats off to the Ticos for mastering their style!
I know many don't appreciate a team like that, absorbing pressure and waiting for the right time to strike, but that's Costa Rica's game style and you should always respect a team that masters and sticks to their play style no matter what and doesn't try to be something it's not.
Anyway, thank you for the upsets and the thrilling emotions Ticos! Not many teams go out of the World Cup not losing a match in regulation time and only conceding one goal in open play (Greece) and the other was a penalty (Uruguay). I hope my national team next World Cup (Mexico) can give us as many amazing memories like you did for your nation. See you guys in the next Gold Cup and in the 2018 Qualifiers!

Most of the fouls he receives are legit, he just embellishes them. As far as this World Cup goes, Mexico only has to blame themselves for losing to the Netherlands instead of blaming it on that call. Do people forget Robben had a legit PK not called against Mexico in the first half? Mexico was content pulling back with the lead and let Netherlands crowd them until the goals started coming.
It sucked seeing Robben do his thing against Chile as well but most of the time contact does exist because he's such a fast player that opponents can't keep up. The guy is too good.

Mexico had a kick to the face on the area that wasn't called either. Mexico's team had many bad calls stacked from this and past WCs.

And how the hell is that Robben's fault? Teams get favorable calls when they create chances. Like I said, having someone like Robben running up and down inside your box is a chance for disaster and Mexico can only blame themselves for that.

It was just a counterpoint to "teams get calls when they attack". Is clear that is just some teams that get calls when they attack. And no, it isn't some kind of FIFA conspiracy, just referees that are impacted upon seeing some team's shirts.
I'm tired of everyone on my Facebook saying that we didn't pass because of the referee. No, we didn't pass because we started defending and parking the bus way too early and because Holland is better than Mexico. I'm also tired about the "no era penal" thing, yes it was penalty, Robben surely acted it awful but there was contact enough to be considered penalty.
