Smash Bros.: Miyamoto actually requested Pac-Man in Brawl

Sure, anything.

Miyamoto is too jealous to include BK.

It's the fact that someone wants to kill an existing character and want to put the character's insides to another is off-putting and even lacking in imagination for their favorite character.

How can you arrive 14 hours late to the party and still miss the post 2 above the one you made?

(Also, Kanbei is my favorite CO, but there's absolutely 0 chance he would ever get in).

Other 3rd party characters I'd like to see: Bomberman, Simon Belmont, Bayonetta, Tails, Professor Layton, Klonoa, Chun Li, Ryu Hayabusa, Slimes, Bub & Bob, Black Mage or Rathalos.

Not that I want to get too involved in the Snake vs. Sami discussion but if they were to add an Advance Wars fighter, it should be the tank with Andy, Max and Sami on it.

Are you making a moral judgement about video games? Really?

Also "killing" a character?

Hey, I just used words I can express easily, I didn't really imply that they are "living creatures".

My point is that it would ruin the essence of the characters, both say, Snake and Sami. It would make Sami a lazy, rehashed character with lack of creativity, and makes its fans look like those people who are desperate. It would ruin Snake as merely just a "fodder" character of sorts rather than an interesting individual character. This is why, as much as people love Melee, I think Melee has terrible treatment on most of their hidden characters compared to say Brawl who actually tried to make "similar" characters unique.

Personally I'd rather the 2D infantry who changes sprites when performing special attacks and smash attacks.

And I'm actually surprised people push Sami when Andy is the "main" of sorts in AW.

1. Snake's moveset already didn't fit him. It had little to nothing to do with MGS.

2. Of course Andy would be the most likely. Then Eagle. Then Sturm. Then Jake or Sensei (what with being from Famicom Wars). Then maybe Sami. That's the point

3. Make the expendable units that aren't actually characters playable instead of the actual characters.

"Hey guys, instead of Captain Falcon, lets make the Blue Falcon a character. And instead of Fox, lets use an Arwing!"

Last I checked, Snake used CQC, bombs and Nikita. The only thing that was missing is that he didn't use guns or a knife. But as far as accommodations go, he is pretty much true to his character (riding the camera copter aside).

And last I checked, even if you pick COs, the bulk of the game still feels more about the units. And hell, through representation of the units, you represent not only Advance Wars, but Famicom Wars, the actual roots of the series.

"But Advanced Wars is an upgrade/recognized more in the US/dead in Japan" is another story altogether. And I still don't get your Sami point.

It's my understanding that COs have been around since Super Famicom Wars, but they didn't get any substantial characterization (read: more than just a backstory paragraph) until Advance Wars.
