I think making up a bunch of reasons to explain why people would dislike BBT is way weirder than any stance on BBT could ever be.

Just got back from RTX. Towards the end of the show, I stopped by the Iron Galaxy booth and asked Dave Lang if I could play him in a game of Divekick. He said sure. We walk over to the gamestation and he sees that the line is too long and is like "Nah" and then takes me to their booth's back-room thing where they have an Xbone set up, where we proceeded to just hang out and chat for a good half hour while playing Divekick

Oh man, awesome! Did you drop a Lang Zone joke? I hope you did
n't
.

Nah, I didn't try to do any sort of "inside jokes" or whatever. We mostly just talked about them touring the game around and EVO. And then we chatted a bit about Videoball and Lethal League.

That's cool, Dave seems like a really nice guy. :)

As someone else mentioned, i think a study showed that Scrubs of all things was the most accurate medical show, even above the likes of House and E.R which you hope would be accurate.

house isnt very accurate

i know approximately 8 doctors

they all loved scrubs

owned the dvds

never acknowledged the existence of the abc season

I couldn't care less about accuracy in a fictional show. House is great, surprisingly artificial, but that's also its biggest strength, mostly.

Still an interesting tidbit, though.

Cool, yeah. Good on you for not being a dork. :p

No one should.

Anyways, hope we'll get How to Build a BEAST episode 2 this week!

I know Alex said that they probably wouldn't be able to film in Nintendo World but I hope they filmed in Nintendo World. They updated the exhibit on the 2nd floor to show hardware history and things, and it looks great.

Scrubs is one of my favorite comedies ever

Ditto! Love that show except for the med school/last season. TERRIBLE and not needed!

It is bizarre seeing people invent reasons why someone would like or dislike something all the time. I 'hate' (since that's the word being used) BBT because I think the show sucks. That's it. I could elaborate, but it's mainly centered around the show not being funny which is its intended purpose. It's not because I think it makes fun of this or that or because it's cool to hate it. I had friends say it was funny, so I watched clips. Then I watched the show to see if I was just missing something. Nope, just not funny. Sorry for weirding people out with that opinion.

As for people that hate Seinfeld, I feel like those people haven't watched the show or just hate it because it's old, and I guess it's cool to hate old stuff or something. I could see someone thinking it's not that great, but there is definitely an ulterior explanation if someone hates that show.

Jeff's way into alt comics and sketch comedy, especially stuff from the late '90s. Doesn't surprise me at all that he didn't get into Seinfeld.

Although I will say that I totally don't understand the love for Mr. Show at all. I really like everyone involved with it (David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Paul F. Tompkins), I really like everything that came out of it later (Comedy Bang Bang), but the show itself... I didn't find it very funny at all.

It was so great to watch them all react to my childhood nostalgia with shock and horror

I only played Lego Island 2 as a kid, and, thinking back on it, that was downright prosaic compared to its predecessor. Anyway, it's not only the craziness of the game, I also feel like the whole crew brings their comedic A game.

Did giantbomb ever do any atari or other older system related streams that I might have missed? Wish they'd do more Bombasticas. Similarly re-watching the Outlast video is sad as they talk about all the games they should do next, the vast majority of which never happened :/

Remember when Giant Bomb had quests?

What a goofy thing this website is.

Except for the "First" quest which was incredibly dumb (in a bad way) thing to do. The quest system was actually really fun. That and trivia.

In many ways the site really got much worst over the years. So many features that are gone with nothing really new added in years.
