Remember the "775" quest? Only given to the first 775 users who clicked on the podcast? Pretty sure there were so many complaints about it they decided to never do another exclusive quest again.

I fully admit that I have never felt a desire to contribute to their wiki because the quests are gone. I'd drop so much knowledge on MGS2 or LEGO Island if the quests came back. Alas...

Eh, I might do it anyways but I'll miss Quests.

There's still SO many gaping holes in that wiki; I've hit a ton of games that sold north of 6 figures that had nearly no presence on the site while I listened to audial Bomb stuff.

Which show was this from?

Except for the "First" quest which was incredibly dumb (in a bad way) thing to do. The quest system was actually really fun. That and trivia.

In many ways the site really got much worst over the years. So many features that are gone with nothing really new added in years.
The biggest gaping hole in the site for me is still the lack of proper credits support. As a video game wiki, Giant Bomb should be focusing on the kinds of information not already provided on the likes of Wikipedia.

But as it stands the credits pages on GB seem to just be a wonky implementation of their regular lists feature. But that doesn't adequately cover credits. All you get, it seems, is the ability to pick a category (usually just labeling "Design" and "Production" etc.) and then you can list names under it. Optionally add a description next to the name. So on some pages you just get a list of names of people who worked on it, on others you actually get "Name (Job Title)". Too little of that system is standardized since they seem to not have a specialized "Credits" implementation, so many of the pages lack actual titles for the people it links.

As it stands, the only worthwhile site for video game credits remains MobyGames. There's no reason GB shouldn't be stepping into that game as well, though.

I watched the Fortune Street TNT spread out across most of today, and it was just as amazing as I hoped, so thanks for spreading that.

...except now I sorta want to play Fortune Street, when that's probably the opposite of what I should be feeling after that. The Wii version's only $20, but I doubt I could convince anyone to play it with me, so I'm sticking to the cheap single player iOS version in the hopes that my interest will die off before I spend more than $5 on it.

Fortune Street was fun and i felt kinda sad when Vinny finally pulled out of District A.

Jeff with
dat motherfucking win

Dead Island TNT was hilarious with those trucks and zombie killing madness. That first minute, holy shit LOLOLOL.

Checking out the 3DO TNT and GOD DAMN Way of the Warrior is fucking garbage. It still blows my mind that this came from Naughty Dog given the level they are placed on now.

It is bizarre seeing people invent reasons why someone would like or dislike something all the time. I 'hate' (since that's the word being used) BBT because I think the show sucks. That's it. I could elaborate, but it's mainly centered around the show not being funny which is its intended purpose. It's not because I think it makes fun of this or that or because it's cool to hate it. I had friends say it was funny, so I watched clips. Then I watched the show to see if I was just missing something. Nope, just not funny. Sorry for weirding people out with that opinion.
Kidding

I don't think it's "inventing" reasons why someone dislike BBT, it's just something I've seen mentioned by a lot of people as the reason why they dislike the show that much (it's not much worse than any other bad sitcom, but the "haha nerds" thing makes them hate it". Of course that doesn't apply to everyone who dislike the show.

Totally agree. I really like the Wiki part of the site, but that's something they should've been on top of years ago.

Jeff is on this week's GameOverGreggy Show, and today he's talking about why he can't quit watching wrestling.

A new segment goes up everyday, but with this being Jeff's segment we'll probably get the most here. I just enjoy seeing Greg and Jeff interact, they have a good dynamic. Makes me wish Greg would come around Giant Bomb more often.

Edit: Jeff has hung out with Ron Jeremy at a strip club. That's a new story.

I never bothered to do quests again after that either. When I was punished for having a job and couldn't get it, I was done.

Anyone know where the 'behind the scenes' e3 vid from Drew is? Can't find it

The first one is from last year, and this year's is the second one.

I can't help but feel like maybe Scoops said a bit too much in the opening of this year's video? Maybe it's just me. >_>

Finally we know now where the context for the bit about "Ron Jeremy talking about the music video he was in instead of all the porn he's done" comes from.

Decided last night that I would yell out "ZOO FAME" in certain social situations throughout this week.

ZOO FAME.

The answer would be to make a quest called "QTE" that is completed by downloading the podcast.

Sure, everyone would have it - but isn't that the point of achievements these days?

Watching the fortune street TNT. This is becoming so hilarious in part 2. I've not seen a lot of this older content since I started watching GB early last year.

Quests were fun for like a few weeks. Never understood the draw.

I suffer from achievement anxiety (I made that up? Don't know) and fuck achievements on a fucking website. I see how they wanted to gamefy everything for a while there but website achievements or meta achievements for consoles or services are so dumb.

That Freedom stream (which I just finished watching) was surprisingly high energy considering it was 2 guys for the most part (and Brad).

The achievement stuff always seemed like something they would hate if someone else had done it. Parts of it, anyway.

'twas the trend at the time, also.

Has patrick talked about his Dynasty Warriors experience?

Also yay, building a PC beast style!

Think he's planning to do a video essay on it this week.
