NL put the screws to Mexico after they scored. Miracle they didn't score more, then Mexico fouled in the box. Saved em 30 mins I guess

Although DEU-NIE would be quite funny, as "nie" is German for the year you Dutchies will get your first trophy

Yup, he's got a target on his back. Also, the guy seems to take more risks going for a breakaway than the average player, so of course he's gonna get knocked down a bit more.

It's been 12 long years since they last made the final of a WC. I'm hoping for the best, but a Brazilian team playing in front of a raucous homecrowd maybe a bit too much for the Panzers to overcome.

What do you think we've been doing al this time with our 5-3-2 formations we used more then once (or variations of it). They are going to try to stop Messi at all cost, Argentina is going to try to stop Robben at all cost. This might become a very close match.

Agree with Brazil here, except for the possibility of a final match against Argentina. Losing that, we will never hear the end of it.

On the other hand, if we win it, our hermanos will never hear the end of it either... so I suppose its all good.

If we're going by that metric, Netherlands beat Chile soundly, while Brazil needed an exhausting penalty kickoff against them. :p

Anyway, I'm not making any bets on the outcome of any match.
 
I hope Brazil demolishes Germany even w/out Neymar & Silva. I'll be good with a Brazil vs Argentina or Brazil vs Netherlands final. Itching with excitement for tomorrow and Wednesday's games. Bring it on.
 
Just came back from a festival in Belgium. Was sad to see them lose Saturday, but I couldn't help but laugh when the first thing I heard after the last whistle was "HUP, HOLLAND, HUP", haha. Dutch match was pretty awful in the first 90 minutes, but goddamn at the extra time and penalties. Van Gaal, you glorious bastard. The crowd went fucking nuts.

Greece scored against a ten man costs Rica. Uruguay scored off a pk.

Brazil definitely did not convincingly win. You're kidding yourself.


Not that I necessarily believe it will be a germ/holland final(I see Argentina squeezing through though hoping for Holland). I do think Germany beats a Silva/neymar-less Brazil squad though.

Acting like football is very predictable. If that was true it would not be the WC of underdogs and surprises. Keep blowing from your high tower. No team is guaranteed a spot and all 4 have to fight for it.

It's not the WC of underdogs tho. How many WCs do the 4 semifinalists there have combined? Even Holland is 3 times runner up.

Edit: that is not to say I agree with him or his tone (he's obviously trolling you and you are falling for it) Sometimes people making a counterpoint is taken like one endorses the other person for some reason, but I don't.
