Destiny: Ghost Edition revealed [Collector's]

Still debating canceling my Amazon LE pre-order for a Gamestop LE pre-order. . I want the sparrow. Sigh I don't know what to do. The Gamestop from my apartment is only 13 minutes away so I can possibly do a mid night release if I am not held up at night with studies. And then I can always just go in the middle of the day. .I might just go there today and put 5 dollars down.
 
Got the Amazon LE. Not sure if I should just downgrade to the digital edition. Not really happy having to pay $8 to get it release day.
 
I'm thinking of pre-ordering the Digital Edition once they release in on PSN... will be my first digital title. Will be nice to pre-load it and play on day 1, even though I have it pre-ordered through FS when they had the E3 deal last year... i'll probably just flip that copy when it arrives

No news from best buy and no non-standard editions on their site

best bet right now is gamestop in store since only $25 down vs their online full price required (plus shipping no in store pickup)

The most common definition of 'armament' is the exact same as 'arms' so the term is redundant, unless you go out of your way to assume they meant one of the less common definitions of armament (like, only artillery or a certain class of arms... which would still be redundant really because 'arms' is an all inclusive term).

They haven't said as far as I know. I imagine you can preorder that right until the game releases. It might be open for awhile after the game comes out to. It could also always be a choice lol.
 
So i've found the Limited edition on dutch webshops but they are asking 110 euros.. what the hell? I was expecting 99 euros because it's 99 dollars in the US (99 dollars -> 99 euros is fucked up already), so what's up with that?

Activision knows where the money is. They have to offset for the forecasted revenue lost in US mentality regarding pricing. Europe pays so US can have cheap games.

We have been the goldmine for Activision and EA for a decade.

Well i've gotten used to the fucked up conversion rate but adding another 10 euros on top of that is just beyond fucked up.
 
I know this was already posted but EB Games Canada finally has the Limited and Ghost editions up!

Just went in store to pre-order my PS4 Ghost Edition, first to pre-order! Woohoo!

Amazon Canada has yet to post them, I am waiting on them to hopefully have it at the USD price. For now I have a Ghost Edition pre-ordered on Amazon USA (I ship to a local border store that is 45 min away) and a Ghost Edition pre-ordered in store at my EB in town.
 
Ghost edition already sold out at Amazon.com for both systems. lol is the demand that high.
 
Its hasn't sold out anywhere in the EU to my knowledge, I guess the Bungie name holds more sway over US gamers.

It was the same with COD4 in 2006. Activision just decided to make the game 10 euro more expensive then other games, out of thin air.

This is simply rinse and repeat of the same 'strategy'.

Also worth mentioning is how COD4 NEVER got cheaper or discounted, it took 2012 to be able to find it under reduced prices.

Activision loves euros.
 
It looks like only amazon and gamestop in USA since the Destiny website has a "where to buy" page and only those 2 sites are in the list.

Shame. would have been great saving $30 using the best buy gamers card.

A Best Buy employee on their community forums has said they will carry both special editions, and they are working to get them up on their site as quick as possible. Keep watching.

I've been following their CE situation for a bit, and they seem to be having trouble confirming they will carry them. It usually takes them about a week or two to list them, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Also, you get $10 back in Reward Zone points for pre-ordering Destiny, so that's another $10 savings in addition to the 20% off.

So glad I jumped on the $60 Unlocked deal when it was happening.

Well and you're already seeing scalpers on Ebay selling their preorders for $250. So you have to figure there is a lot of that going on too.
 
You can still preorder the destiny ghost edition ps4 at Gamestop in store. Each store has an allocated stock according to the employee

yeah the guy at the gamestop I preordered from was kinda in a panic and called his boss who said he wasnt allowed to preorder himself until his shift was over in 8 hours

he high fived me this morning since yesterday he didnt think you could preorder in store (only online) so he was thrilled to find it was available and called 3 friends!

my boss is pretty chill though. if a pre-order pops up. she'll let you pre-order right away. no need to wait. cause why wait? employees are paying customers too. I never understand that practice.
 
I am debating on going with the XBox One ghost edition on this. Locked content be damned. The exclusives don't seem to be all that amazing.
 
As a side thing, will there be an upgrade plan for the game in the sense that if you bought the PS3 version, and then wanted the PS4, could you go up to the PS4 version for like $10 extra?

I'm pretty sure most of those upgrade deals were only for the launch of the systems and to help convince people to move to the PS4 or Xbox One. I doubt we'll see them again.

I went back and forth on the limited Vs. GHOST. I really like the little slip the limited edition comes in.
