PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Is Another World HD worth buying? Or is the SNES/Old PC version fine enough? I don't remember it being that long of a game, and it being $9.99 has me debating.

Have there ever been games on sale that go free on Plus shortly after?

Just picked up Ragnarok Ace even though I have a feeling it's one of those games that will be free one day. Was wondering if Sony pulls the same nonsense Microsoft did with Spartan Assault (small discount, next month a heavy discount, next month it's free)

Been playing through a lot of PixelJunk SHooter Ultimate lately...it's fairly fun, but some of the things I am getting very tired of. The one "final" boss on the planet -
ALF-ON50
, was a serious pain. Not fun at all to fight. Just a boring tedious fight that took me about 15 minutes. Now that I have moved on...some of the things in the next levels are starting to really get aggrevating. I just want more water/lava throwing levels :(
Hell I'll gladly take more
ferrofluid levels
. On a side note, that third liquid I just named...amazing they put that stuff in there!! the powerup you get to help manipulated that liqui is awesome, I really enjoyed using it to make things..happen..in non spoilerific ways....! If only the rest of the game was that fun :\ I was iffy going in, and am feeling that way again now. WIll likely play to the end, but I sure won't be paying much attention.

Shizuka, Wynnebeck, Happy belated Bday!
Tournament? Count me in!
I started that game recently as well, so we are probably on the same skill level at the moment :P
I'm late to the party, but hell yea Hot Shots!! Thursday night this week is no good for me, but any other time I should be able to attend, we just need to plan for something. It's been a while since I Hot Shotted with more than one other person.
Shinobido 2 finally reappeared on the EU store and this game is actually pretty cool. It's like Tenchu with mission structure designed well for a handheld; some missions are really short and might only take a couple of minutes. Best of all, there's almost no loading if you hit restart.

The AI is completely dumb, though, and the camera is super wonky.
Hell yes! Glad to see others playing it. For a launch game, it's quite good :D Aside from some flaws it has, it really has a lot going for it. I recently booted it back up again a few weeks ago to take some screenshots, and I ended up doing many missions before I realized it. Great fun, and great to essentially have Tenchu in your "pocket".

Ok, bought. You can do worse for $8! If I remember correctly its like a 2 hour game. Wasn't journey like an hour game? And its still $15. Still haven't got that yet.

If it had three separate trophy lists instead of 1 and was cross buy I'd get it for $8.

The last WAU episode still isn't showing up. :(

Also playing it right now, was very fun in the beginning, but the further I get the levels become more boring. Boss battles are indeed tedious.

Yeah... Sadly it's happened a few times, particularly with Vita games. Muramasa Rebirth was on deep discount a few months ago... And like three of the puzzle games months before that. All of those were on deep discount though.

All the nerd girls are at conventions. Just assume anyone that's not with a male is single. You make some good friends being trapped in a line for a couple of hours at a time. Also, go ahead and buy Diva f.

In chile, all nerd girls are ugly girls :3

and maybe, retarded

Anyone get the extra SonyRewards points yet for the E3 app things you had to do?
I don't have access to my PS4 until Friday, but could have sworn were suppose to get the extra points early July?

I wanna buy another PSN card to preorder TLOU Remastered.

Speaking about that did any get there money back from pre-ordering that game on the store at $60? Aren't they supposed to email us a code.

On the topic of sales, the lack of a PS Plus post every Monday is really irritating. Probably the only thing I don't like about the new format change.

After spending 42 hours slogging through Valkyria Chronicles 2, I've started playing Child of Light on the Vita for a change of pace.

I have to say, I'm really impressed. A couple of hours in, the combat system is a really nice take on the FF ATB system, with attacking casters as they get a spell ready interrupting them, and also being to do the same with physical attacks. Defending actually has a purpose rather than being a slippery slope to defeat, too. The music and exploration are quite soothing, and the animation really nice.

Even if it's only ten hours or so long, I'd much rather have the odd rpg that gets you into the meat of it really quickly, rather than the first ten hours being a tutorial. Perhaps it's just that I'm finding the pacing quite refreshing coming from a game that I was finding quite repetitive in the last dozen hours or so.

It's really well suited to the Vita too, the controls for your companion can be on the front or back touch screen, or the right stick, or a mix of both. Nicely done.

Activision IP or not, IMO it's a dick move to tell people they're not allowed to enter your contest with a character you created. That'd be like Disney saying "Here's an art contest for a free trip to Disney World, but don't draw Mickey."

Bad argument. Disney still owns Mickey. Naughty Dog needs Activision's permission to use Crash's likeness in any and all promotional content, which this contest would fall under. This was not a dick move, it's business.

Does anywhere but Amazon.com sell digital US PSN codes without a markup in price? (i.e $50 card is $50) ?

I need to buy $90 worth for the Destiny digital edition, but Amazon don't let you buy several codes in one transaction (my debit card charges £1 per foreign currency purchase)

I'd suggest hitting up this guy instead of paying full price for credit. He's reliable.

I need a new game to devote my time to now that I'm getting close to completing Soul Sacrifice Delta. If I didn't really like the Child of Light PS4 demo, is there still a chance I'd enjoy the full game?

Wow, Ratchet & Clank 2 (Vita) is one h*ll of an improvement over the first installment. The camera is more responsive, the fighting mechanics are more tight. Three levels in and I find it already more enjoyable.

Ever played Trails in the Sky (PSP)?
