PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Wow, Ratchet & Clank 2 (Vita) is one h*ll of an improvement over the first installment. The camera is more responsive, the fighting mechanics are more tight. Three levels in and I find it already more enjoyable.

If you think Going Commando is a great game, just you wait until you get you hands on Up Your Arsenal XD! Now that game is the best game in the entire Ratchet Series (next to A Crack in Time); the best weapons of the series, the best controls the series has ever had, the side-levels being lots of fun (the Quark levels, the Clank stages and the hacking mini-games were all tons of fun), the replay-value through the roof (challenge mode, better versions of weapons, and lots more :D) and the story being the best of the series (Dr. Nefarious makes his debut in this game.....he is one of the best characters in the series and this game shows why; he is to damn funny XD).

If you have the chance, REALLY give Ratchet 3 a shot...you will love the game man :D.

Sword Art Online will be the game for you, but that's only next month. Have you tried Atelier Rorona Plus?
The only game I'll be buying next month is Disgaea 4. I have no interest in SAO, and I'm not in the mood for a long JRPG right now. Maybe I'll just go back to Borderlands 2.

Man, last year's summer blast sale was much better then this X(.

I remember spending.....I think 40 bucks and got lots of games (Alice Madness Returns, Ratchet HD Collection, Silent Hill: BoM, Lego Batman 2 Vita, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands PS3, Shadow of the Colossus and Scot Pilgrim vs. The World).... was hoping this summer might have some good sales :(.

I mean, even June last year had a better E3 Sale X( (remember getting AC: Liberation and Sound Shapes for my Vita for only 18 something bucks....it was nice though; first game purchases for my new Vita :D).

The summer is far from over and I do have a large backlog for both the PS3 and Vita, so no sales are fine for me :).

So... I guess I'll hold onto my money. Again.

What this guy said. There are so many games I'd jump at with just a slight price drop or a sale, but instead I get three sale games I'd likely never play even if I had them free.

Also, ouch on $15 for MouseCraft - I would've paid up to $10 without a demo, but understand that they want their money since they put two years into the thing.

Activision IP or not, IMO it's a dick move to tell people they're not allowed to enter your contest with a character you created. That'd be like Disney saying "Here's an art contest for a free trip to Disney World, but don't draw Mickey."

Yeah thanks. It's as if Rare did a fan art contests and Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong Racing weren't allowed to enter there.

Look deep in your heart and root for Argentina mañana it will make all the pain go away

Thanks god you've decided to switch to your old Lightning avatar. The old one was really creepy suppa XD

Snitch!

Oh. I see. It's not that you're part of #TeamFlandy. Is that you're following his steps and getting into the dark side of NeoGAF.

Post carefully, Flandy. Because some day he'll suprass you and then you'll be his target.

Been playing P3: FES after deciding to give that game one more go (beat P3P with the FM Main Character) and figure beating the Journey section of FES throughout the summer instead of beating P4G for the fifth time in a row (amazing game :D) might be a good idea :D.

After my initial frustration with the FES version of Persona 3....I feel stupid for not liking the FES version that much. The 'Tire' system in place for the Tartaurs exploration isn't as bad is it initally was (I suppose as the characters level up, they can explore the place longer) and it is really easy to play with this system (Ex: Make your main character better by sleeping early/going to the bathroom to turn his status from 'Good' to 'Great' or make him sick/tired and get a bonus Courage increase (then sleep that day instead of going to Tartarus to get that 'Sick/Tired' stat to 'Good').

The random AI also wasn't that bad either; with you having many different tactics to use, you can have battles play out in many different ways. Sure, it is better to have direct control over your party (as, well, you don't want your Healer to use a stupid 'Charm' move X() but as it stands it makes battles currently manageable.

Playing the PS2 version also makes the story more interesting too; you see the characters act things out instead of just their 2D art talking (which is fine too), making some scenes that were nice in Portable priceless in P3:FES. I like the game, and I'm glad I gave it a second shot :).

Great excuse to give my PS3 some more play time (haven't played it that much in a while....guess I'm just glued to my Vita too much XD).

They need to come up with some less-impressive title for their sales, aye?
I knew something was missing from today's store update.

That'll be $1000 in cold hard cash, SCEA.

They've put the Vita DLC up, why would you want the game it applies to as well?! Some people are never happy :p

Well, isn't the retail copy for the Vita version out now (the Youtube trailer said the Day One version of the Vita copy launches today with the PS3 and 3DS version)? That must be the reason why the DLC is out; to give those buyers a chance to check the game's extra content out :). Though it IS stupid that the Vita digital version isn't on the PSN store yet X(.

Wow! Now THAT is a killer sale man XD!

.....The sale sucks man :(. Guess people swarming to the PS4 and PS+ is already effecting the services value :l.

Since this sale has nothing for me, I'll just post here to complain about apparently having this, that the weird visual distortion in my left eye is really annoying, and that I will finally be trying Muramasa later in hopes of ignoring it.

Might actually have to switch to the dark theme to make the spot less noticeable :p

How long is Another World?

I'm seeing complete playthroughs on YT at around a half hour. Is that accurate?

Another World is a super difficult 90's era indie PC game that is definitely not possible to beat in half an hour on your first playthrough, unless you're some kind of superhuman.

You'll spend at least half an hour on the first gunfight, if not more.

I'm in the UK so I haven't really been watching the US trailers, but I didn't think the US version had yet. The (US) PSN blog post said "PS Vita owners can look forward to a portable version next week!", and Bandai's Tumblr says "One Piece: Unlimited World Red will launch for PS Vita via retail exclusively at GamesStop on July 14 and digitally on July 15."

Rather than bumping one of the old threads, I'll just ask this here.

I've had the Dungeons & Dragons Chronicles of Mystara PS3 demo for many months and recently bought/unlocked the full game.

Whenever I've tried to play MP on PSN, either in Tower of Doom or Shadow over Mystara, be it Quick Match or Join Match, I always get this message:

Should I try deleting it from the HDD (because it's an unlocked demo) and re-download the full game since I've purchased it? Or is it because hardly anyone plays it on PSN?

Playing the second DLC for Muramasa Rebirth before the third he comes out next week. They really aren't making things easy with the DLC, difficulty is pretty big.

Nothing is wrong with the game, there just isn't an active community for the game anymore so finding games is nigh impossible unless you have friends to organize with.
