Destiny: Ghost Edition revealed [Collector's]

Amazon.ca needs to get it together and list this. I'll be F5'ing all day at work so I can get mine ordered.

So I think they will be limited. I think thats why they are doing the digital also, so everyone can get at least the non physical content. They will make more from a $90 digital than a $100 physical.

They said the same shit about Halo 3 and Halo Reach. To the point they even said employees would have a hard time getting them. It's typically bullshit.

Unless they come out and say they are numbered, and th number of the limited run, don't believe it.

Different publisher. Microsoft published the Halo games and also owned Bungie at that time. They ultimately had the final say on how rare or not those releases were. Bungie was told that they would be and twice were lied to. I remember some of the Bungie folks being kind of pissed about the Reach stuff getting another run because they specifically made it a point to say oh this really is limited this time and then were made fools of.. With Bungie having more control now I do think they'll try their damndest to keep the run limited on this.

Again, I'll believe it when I see it, I personally don't buy the whole "we were lied to/we didn't know" stuff. It happens far too often. It was a breath of fresh air when the titanfall statue actually ended up being very limited.

That said, gamestop has Ghost editions available online. Just ordered one from there a few seconds ago just in case amazon really doesn't get any in stock.
 
I remember their being some confusion yesterday about whether the digital guardian version contained the expansion pass. Did that ever get confirmed?
 
The digital edition is likely more profitable anyway perhaps even more than the $150 CE (ie no physical COG/duplication and distribution/shipping)

If the ghost makes more money than the digital deluxe then its not by much. I think it was torchlight where they said they made more money selling $20 steam per unit than $60 retail (ie not just selling more copies, each unit more profitable)
 
Sigh, I think I am going to go to GS this evening and put down a pre-order for Destiny there as well. I want the sparrow. I am going to have two copies of Destiny (1 from Amazon, 1 from GS). If GS is able to give me all of the downloadable stuff at midnight then I will pay it off and ship back the Amazon stuff. I hope the midnight release for Destiny isn't crazy. Watch Dogs was pretty tame.

Ive seen the TF statues at a bunch of places. My Best buy has a discounted one taking up a load of space on the bottom shelf.
 
I am taking a half day at work on the 9th. I am too old for midnight releases. The last game I did that for was Bungies Halo Reach though. lol

so maybe..
 
I have been waffling around on this. Initially, I went for a PS4 LE, but, after the X-Box One GEs started selling out, I cancelled the order and went for one of them. This is going to be a collector's item. That upped it's value. I'll wait for the PS4 exclusives.

Also, I could not resist the souped up speeder Gamestop exclusive.

I'm going to laugh whenever you can buy a better one than gamestop gives you in like 5-10 hours of gameplay.

That speeder is available to everyone through progression.
 
Well I've got the digital guardian edition preordered now. That should motivate me to cancel my ghost edition preorder.

Aye, don't think there's anywhere else we can get it from either. Last I checked, GAME don't ship large items oversea's.

Think I will just stick with the limited edition. Could nearly get a WiiU for the same price as the ghost edition in some places.

Even €129 for the Limited Edition is a joke (that's the one I hope to get) when it's $99 in the US.

The fact the game is €75 by itself here to begin with is laughable.

I've ordered the XBone Ghost version through Amazon and the PS4 Ghost version through GameStop. I'm checking BestBuy.com every few minutes to try and get it through the GCU program, but nothin' so far. :(
 
I know this isn't the right place to ask.. but i'm really in harry.
If i per-order Destiny from amazon to get in the beta do they charge me for pre-ordering the game?
