So the KI announcement is on Friday, and the MKX announcement is on Saturday.

I don't think Capcom would have anything to announce related to Marvel after the Melee Finals and before the Marvel Finals.

It's definitely possible Nintendo could make an announcement after the Smash Finals.

is all I expect.

I could also see them doing a quick match (or a few) with the top 2-4 Melee players playing Smash 4.

Least likely I think is a character. I don't think we're gonna see any other kind of Smash 4 content announcement though. So if we get anything there probably just a returning character.

The Double Cherry is an item first appearing in Super Mario 3D World. These cherries are found floating just above the ground or inside question blocks, they can also be found in crates.

When characters grab this item, a replica of them appears. The clones keep the original characters' state (for example, Fire Mario gets a clone), and moves identically to them. The clones can be used to activate certain switches and platforms. There can be up to five clones at one time. If players hit question blocks which contain double cherries when five doubles exist, a Coin will come out instead. The clones disintegrate if harmed or they all disappear when the player grabs the Goal Pole and the player will be awarded with points. The players can also ground pound on other players to steal their double power.
