Veterans don't get revealed by video. Sonic was the exception because of his third party nature. The only veterans that will get a video reveal would be Snake or Mewtwo.

Am I the only person who does not want Bayonetta anywhere near this game? She is a fine character in her own right but she's not the right visual style/game genre/character size for Smash. Seriously, a gun-toting, stilt-legged giantess for Smash? She'd be roughly 3-4 Mario's in size, it would look bizarre.

3) Unlockable newcomers won't have cool videos.

What I said is why are people thinking it's not a newcomer if in the tweet it says its a new character video and other veterans do not have videos (as you said apart from sonic). So you were right in what you read the first time lol
Nintendo is definitely going to have a EU stream, so you'll be able to watch it there.

Well, Charizard got veteran reveal in the trailer, along with Greninja so it's not impossible. It would be amazing if it's Snake and Shulk reveal together where Snake and Shulk would team up to kill all mechs!

I don't understand this we have enough Pokemon argument. If anything Mario has the most, they just put thrm under different icons, plus not only is Pokemon one of their top selling series it also has the most characters to pull from and also have them have a completely unique move set that allows them to play differently. So I want more Pokemons!! Now samurai, show me that glorious mewtwo in action >

Pokémon will have enough opportunities to shine in Pokken Fighters, no need to fill Smash with them.

He was an unlockable character in 2 out of 3 Smash titles. There's a good shot that he'll be unlockable in this one too, and won't be revealed before the game launches. Same for Ness.

There are a few qualities a new challenger could have to spice things up.
An evil character.
Bulking build, either fat or muscular.
Non white human type.
Group character, like ice climbers, Olimar or pokemon trainer.
So I vote for in no particular order.
Gonon in blue pig form - Big bulky and evil.
Doc Louis - would be the first black character, big and bulky. Older smash fans would go nuts.
King Hippo - Evil, non white human, big and bulky
King K Rool - Big bulky and evil

3 Green alien wall jumpers (Super Metriod) - The 3 green little aliens that teach Samus how to wall jump would make a good "group character" and add a much needed and feesible Metroid rep.
