My 8-year-old: "Daddy, does this mean I can finally wear my Lebron jersey, again?"...Yes it does, son. Yes it does!

Kid can finally wear his jersey, no more belt spankin for him!

No, 'cause fuck da Heat.

But for serious, why would there be a similar sort of letter if he was staying in Miami? Talking about going back home to Ohio and his history there, his mother and family, about helping to improve a young group of guys and being a mentor. Lots of what he wrote about doesn't apply to Miami.

To apologize to cleveland fans for not going back. The content of the letter doesn't matter, the tone and the maturity displayed is the point. I would say if he had that same level of maturity and stayed with the Heat the same people saying he is such a great guy now would still kill him. Its about him going back to cleveland.

They have 3 'chips and live in....Miami. They don't give a fuck.

Not entirely true. There are some very real fans down here. Maybe not most, but a very real group, and they're going to be devastated that NBA basketball will go back to being shit.

But...like you said, they have 3 chips to keep them warm. Better than nothing, but probably not enough to get them to buy NBA 2K15, feel me?

I can't believe it...is he really coming home? I'll believe it when he's holding up his new Cavs jersey.

I agree with you

Miami vs West is not...fun
You mean until the Spurs took the Heat to school.

If Melo goes to the Bulls I really think the Spurs have a decent chance of getting Pau. Plus Bosh to Houston, this next season will be fun.
I completely get why Pau would want to go to the Spurs but I'm not sold on what he brings to the table within their system, especially for 10 million as is the rumored number.

Could NOT care less.

Cleveland is on the rebound and I don't think that relying on a single person returning home is a great way to keep the momentum going. Much more important issues are at stake. God I hate sports.

I have nothing but respect for him after reading that.

This... it makes sense and I hate Lebron as a Celts fan, but that is compeltely respectible. The Heat should have seen it coming. Love is next, so bye bye Wiggi. Also, let's be real here. There is a LOT of money for Lebron to make back in CLE. I mean, he will have the #1 jersey in sales by far next year, it's not going to be even close especially if he doesn;t go back to the #23.

I think Darko is currently in the military (Serbia military)

Shit, I didn't know that. As a Pistons fan I had always hoped things would work out for him in the NBA. I haven't followed the league too closely for a few years and lost track of where he was.

How would a 8 year old wear a jersey fit for a 4 years old? Don't they grow?

Thanks for your insight.

This Bill Livingston guy on ESPN wouldn't give up Wiggins for Love..really?

I'm not watching, but I assume it's because Wiggins would be a lot cheaper and would allow the Cavs to put some more quality pieces around LBJ. With LBJ and Irving, you don't really need more superstarts as much as you need a bunch of quality guys to complement them.

Yeah, I don't think he has played an NBA game since 2012 and he always mentioned that he would serve the three years of duty in the Serbia military whenever he was done in the NBA

Yes, what would the best basketball player in the world be able to do for a city like Cleveland in terms of bringing in dollars, media attention and tourism? All Cleveland needs is Cleveland.
