The answer is like 2 or 3 pages back and we're repeating it ever since.

Pre-order on EU PSN with a EU account, it's free and you can cancel it when you're done.

Dax01, please, add Valentinus's tutorial to the OP.
 
So i'm watching gameplay video's and then the person finds a quest in one of those beacons. Then some guy speaks and tells you the mission, and im like wait this sounds familiar... this guy sounds like Fringe's Phillip Broyles and of course after looking it up it's Lance Reddick!! :) hehe so nice.

My fellow guardians

I have a gift for you for those who seek it, for those who wonder about it, for those who needs it. If you follow the steps below as how I've written it, you will be able to own a part of Destiny ahead of those random guardians who lacks the dedication.

Steps to own a piece of greatness:

1) Get yourself a european PSN account (Skip this, if you have one)
2) Go to the PSN Store and search for Destiny
3) Pre-order the game (for some fantastic reason, EU PSN doesn't require you to pay up front)
4) Download it if, it does not download itself (skip the step below, if you're downloading from your main account)
5) To open this application on your 'Main' account, go to Settings > PSN > Activate as primary PS4.
6)
That's it

Now you have a piece of greatness while you wait and HYPE together with the rest of us. See you in BETA, guardians.

The EU PSN TOS suggests that there is a risk they could end up charging you for the Pre-Order and there were some reports of people having difficulty cancelling their pre-orders earlier.

I would not put that in the OP and I would definitely put a disclaimer that people may risk getting charged for the game eventually by taking part in that process. Let people know the risk upfront and determine for themselves if they want to try it just for the ability to pre-load a client that they can't play for another week anyways.

I agree, although I think you're (and the other guy who send a tweet to Bungie CM) too suspicious (and cautious) about it.

It was quick and painless pre-order cancelling from me besides, I don't even attached my CC info to any of my PSN accounts.
 
I think i'll just wait for my NA beta download code. I played the alpha with an EU account but I want to play the beta with my OG account. Too much hassle to add all my friends I want to play with on the other account, and I don't want to run the risk of paying for the game twice.

How will they charge me if I don't have anything on my PSN they can take the money from? I don't use a credit card and I deleted my PayPal.

Not everyone is in that situation though. Many have used a CC at one time or another and Sony does have those on record. People have been automatically charged for Plus when their sub runs out despite using pre-paid cards for it initially.

The point that I'm making is that there is a risk. Clearly not everyone in every territory are meant to be able to pre-load the client. I don't even know if EU is supposed to be able to pre-load the client (since there were reports that the download button is there sometimes and not others). People need to know that there's a risk when doing things like this so they don't get blindsided.

It doesn't mean I disagree with you. However, people have the choice to make their own decisions, if they want to pre-load it then those are the steps needed. Add in that disclaimer and it will be perfect and if they are that paranoid, then don't bother with it.

Adding a disclaimer is what I suggested, yes.

I still think it's not something that she be added to the OP though. I don't know if SCEE would appreciate potentially over a thousand people playing games with their Pre-Order system (700+ DestinyGAF in addition to NeoGAF's lurkers who would inevitably spread this info throughout the internet).

I'm not going to add it. It's not anything official and it's not technically something people should be able to do.

That picture of my PSN account, is from my main which is Asian PSN based. I have been playing games from different regions for quite awhile now. Even Alpha was downloaded from US PSN and played on my local main account. It works for me. I can't promise if it will go that smoothly for you as well.

I never did suggest for it to be added to the OP.
 
As someone with an NA account, I'm just going to wait til the 17th to download the beta. I see no need to make an EU account to preload early and potentially have some kind of trouble over it. The beta is ~12GB, so it'll only take 45-60 minutes for me anyways.

This friend is a Bungie employee though (still need to get her back for getting me into the alpha early,) so they likely have a server whitelist right now with just Bungie PSN/XBL accounts.
 
Well if its playable right now I might have to do this when I get home from work. I hope that nothing stupid comes of it like getting banned from the beta before it releases or some shit.

or i might just wait and not chance it
