Are there any systems in place to prevent loothangers just standing near enemies waiting for others to defeat them so they can grab the loot?

Everyone has their own loot. Also if you're just hanging out next to a boss not doing anything, you're probably going to die.

I just recently got Borderlands2 from the Steam sale and it is amazing, my plan is to get a ps4 just for Destiny.
If some one has a few moments could they compare the two games and also give thoughts on the Borderlands pre sequel and how it will fit in with Destiny.
Thx

Not sure what you mean.. Fit in with Destiny?

Destiny's size and scope makes Borderlands look pretty small and amateur tbh, and I really enjoyed Borderlands 2.

That pre-sequel game is going to get lost in the shuffle this Autumn. It's not even on PS4/Xbone.

On a personal note, it'd be interesting to see more story missions and see how they're paced.

Based off trailers, and the alpha slice, we do know that we'll get to see cinematic sequences of interaction with other characters/factions, and that in-game story missions will likely take place within explorable space, but I wonder if there'll be any campaign-only set pieces.

Really hyped for the Beta on Thursday, looking forward to having some matches with UK and EU DestinyGAF members. I'm leaning towards playing the Beta as a Warlock character too.

Waste of money imo. LE is where it's at.

I agree the LE is the "best" version for the money. However I love figures. I have the perfect spot on my desk at work for my ghost.

Destiny has been my obsession since E3 2013. I was going to buy the most complete package either way.

i can't

one of the best games of last gen + destiny > destiny + life-cluttering stuff

it is known

EDIT: i guess i could use some cool stuff for my office desk...

The last of us isn't going anywhere vs. The zeitgeist of the Destiny launch and it being limited. I figured why the hell not.

Actually, on the topic of story missions/campaign, two things came to mind :

a. we have not seen the Guardian character speak even once in all the story-related trailer cuts. All the scenes only had him mute and looking around blankly. ( the 2013 trailer had him talking )

b. How will they incorporate the perspective of multiple characters in story-campaigns. Will each player only see his/her Guardian when an NPC is talking to you, or will the scene change to incorporate dialogue to a team of 2/3? Even more so if your character speaks in cutscenes.

Because Dax doesn't like it.

Because I'm joking around with Kyoufu. Obviously a lot of people enjoyed The Last of Us and the remastered is well worth the money for many of them, and of course ND put a lot of effort into that game.

Though, honestly, I didn't find The Last of Us to be all that great. It suffered from the same problem all ND games did from last gen: excellent presentation and story, average-to-bad gameplay.

I wish Naughty Dog would go back to making games like Jak and Daxter.

Isn't that your Guardian talking in the collector edition unboxing?

She says something to ghost and calls him little light and he says I'm a ghost actually.

Am I wrong?

Edit: looks like it is someone else talking.

You're just bitter that Neil Druckmann cancelled his Jak/Daxter reboot and is projecting that bitterness on TLoU, like coffee. =P

I'm kidding, by the way. Your opinion on TLoU is perfectly valid, though those without context of your statement may not realise it's just you being you, instead of TLoU 'no-gameplay only movies' trolls.

Under my s...heets?

August is going to be such a drag...

August will be the time for me to burn through the immense backlog of PS+ games I have. And by burn through, I mean probably finishing like 2 of them.

I've officially just pre-ordered Destiny on PSN and linked my tag to my Bungie account. I've seen very little footage of the game and don't know much about it, but I trust Bungie and the impressions from others in the alpha thread. Need to start watching videos to build up some hype next week. Also I haven't looked at my Bungie stuff in a while, it's cool that I can still see my 2800 games of Halo 2.

I'm also thinking about ordering a Sony Gold headset tomorrow, I don't have a decent working microphone and my earbuds (good ones) have a crackling problem with the DS4.

Oh, I know you're joking! And as for that reboot, was that the ultra-serious one with this concept art?

If so, I'm actually glad it was cancelled. From the concept art it seems Naughty Dog had lost focus on what made the originally Jak and Daxter (and its sequels, which I enjoyed) so fun: its goofiness with a lot of ridiculous fun. The game still could've been fun, but the presentation the concept art gave really rubbed me the wrong way.
