Yeah but hand cannons succcckkked during the alpha. I hope they give them a boost so they're actually viable. I'm not sure what they could do to them to help though. Boost damage over other weapons at the same level? Give some a burst?

Keep in mind we were using trash low level hand cannons.
Rare ones/Epic ones with levels to them may have crazy effects like giant splash damage, or super quick fire that does 2 shot kills if in chest level at certain ranges, etc.
Never count out Bungie to do each gun justice in the right persons hands.
Not so much parity, as being held back by last gen.

That's perhaps the only "disappointment" I have regarding Destiny; it's a 30fps shooter in an age where 60fps is becoming the standard. I suppose cross-gen is to blame, but it's still a little bit of a letdown.
Of course it's not a big deal when you get used to it (especially if it's a steady 30fps). I just hope that Bungie gets Destiny 2 up to 60.
There hasn't been any announcement regarding private matches, but then again Bungie has kept a lot of stuff close to the chest, hell we didn't see/know anything about PvP till a month ago. If it's not in at launch I would expect private games to be added soon after.

as a base, high damage, high rate of fire, recoil, long reload and 2 kills per clip would do it, but most of those are upgradable.
hand cannons should basically be the Combat Evolved pistol's descendants.

The only weapons i saw in the alpha were variants of ordinary weapons such as pistols and assault rifle.
There was one threeburst plasma but the effect was kind of boring and a step down from the covenant plasma guns...
I want more "scifi" weaponry, does destiny deliver that??

Yea sorry bro, PS4 only. But All the Xbros will get it eventually.
I couldn't even find a pistol during Alpha. Hopefully there are some good ones during Beta.
I didn't get to try them out so I will see during Beta. I heard that some people were able to do pretty well with them but they had to practice. And I know that some upgrades are suppose to increase firing speed so hopefully that helps during the full game.

I'm a 60 FPS guy and Destiny runs great. With the lighting engine and all the effects the game looks and runs awesome. No complaints at all from me.
Oh and hand canons are sweet in PVE. Headshotting trash mobs is the best.

Eh rather use a scout rifle. Shoot faster, bigger clip, better aiming.
Should be fine if last-gen is ditched next time around.

I found one or two, but it didnt do anything my scout rifle couldnt so i put it in the vault.

I found one in the alpha, but only ever used it in Explore. Good damage and easy headshots too.

I used a pulse rifle. It was kinda cool but the recoil from it after switching from the scout rifle made it less desirable to use, and burst isn't my favorite firing mode. That, and I liked the sound of the scout rifle/

I had like 4 by the end. I found all of them as drops from enemies rather than the shops in the tower. So just make sure you kill a shit ton of Fallen in the beta.
Ended up finding an amazing scout rifle in the alpha and using that the majority of the time. Almost exclusively got headshots with it and could one shot everything.

I main'd a pulse rifle. Especially useful for getting easy early game kills on the Moon, and on Rusted Lands I had really good site lines near the special ammo spawn at A as well.
It worked really well close/mid without ADS, which is why I favored it.

scouts were pretty reliable. i switched between that and the auto rifle for pve and pvp
the one i didnt use at all was the fusion rifle, but now that i know it's basically a mid-ranged shotgun, i might carry one around.

I can't believe Warlock is still ahead.
So here I was worried today that I needed to upgrade my preorder to the Guardian Edition in order to get the beta. When I called Sony, they assured me that on the 17th, my code for Bungie would arrive (to register on Bungie.net), and I would be notified via PS4 notification to download the beta.

They do, though, don't they? Your health bar pulses yellow when your super is charged. Unless that's only for friendlies?

The Glide ability is awesome, you just don't know how to use it
I prefeer things that make me as mobile as possible, from my experience hunters double jump provided the best mobility during alpha. Warlocks hover struck me as very slow comparatively
